We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ than Daren at Top Hat Entertainment! From start to finish, he was professional, fun, and truly knew how to keep the energy high. He seamlessly blended our must-play songs with crowd favorites, keeping the dance floor packed all night. One of the most special moments was our private dance before the grand exit—we gave Daren almost no guidance, yet he somehow picked the most perfect song. And for the final song of the night, he chose a song from our must-play list that we never would've thought to play as a finale, but it brought the entire group together in the most incredible way for one last song. Daren’s ability to read the room and create unforgettable moments is unmatched. Top Hat Entertainment are consummate professionals who truly understand the significance and importance of their role on a wedding day. The value of this alone cannot be understated. We had the pleasure of working with Mike from the initial consultation call, through the contracting period, and until we were assigned a DJ for our event. Mike is engaging, enthusiastic, flexible, accommodating, and kind. His knowledge and expertise (and willingness to work alongside/collaborate with other musicians for a portion of our wedding day) really sold us on Top Hat. Can you, perhaps, find a cheaper DJ out there? Sure. Do you get what you pay for? 1000%. This brings me to our wedding day. Mark DJ'ed on our big day and let me tell you: he DELIVERED. About 3 weeks before the wedding, he spent over an hour with us on the phone. He meticulously reviewed all of the details with us, including how he would mic us for the ceremony, introduce us into the reception, how he would splice the song we want played for the cake cutting. He reviewed our 'Must Play' songs and 'Do Not Play' lists... he even worked with us on the fly to create a cut of our first dance song during the call. W.O.W. Mark also went ahead and created an 'In Case of Emergency' playlist to cover the selections that the String Quartet was meant to play for ceremony/cocktail hour in the event they couldn't attend due to a weather event (we got married during the winter season here in VT, so this was very much a reality-based concern). I mean, how above-and-beyond. Mark was just so detail-oriented and thoughtful. We could really tell that he cared deeply about making sure everything was perfect. And then, guess what? It was!! He seamlessly executed every single thing we talked about. No notes. On top of that, he brought a delightful, vibrant, and fun energy to our day. I can't say enough good things about him and Top Hat. Choose Top Hat if you want the highest quality entertainment on one of the most important days of your life.

If you're looking for wedding entertainment that goes above and beyond, Mike is the guy you need. From the moment we met him at our tasting event at MTR, we knew he was someone special. Mike handled our ceremony music with seamless precision, and trust us, he knows how to set the perfect vibe. But it wasn’t just the music—Mike's infectious personality was the real standout. He’s genuinely funny, kind, and a whirlwind of energy, making him the perfect addition to any celebration. We also rented his vintage mirror photo booth, and let me tell you—it was a huge hit! Guests couldn’t stop raving about it, and it added so much fun to our event. Beyond that, Mike offered incredible value. We had Damon DJ our wedding and Mike helped us in the preparation and communication ahead of our event. They were spectacular! Mike gave us all of the information we needed and wasn't afraid to answer my dozens of questions. Damon really knew how to respond to our crowd. Our goal for our wedding was to have a DJ that faded into the background but played music the crowd would love, and that's just what we got. For the ceremony, they mixed music based on our requests to ensure nothing went too long, they were very happy to trim down our first dance and father/daughter dance so they weren't 5 minutes each, and those mixes sounded like the songs were meant to be that way. We had guests as young as 1 1/2 and up to mid-70s dancing. Damon knew what to play based on who was on the dance floor and we never felt a lull from the crowd. Thank you to Top Hat for being a pivotal part of our amazing night!!

Top Hat Entertainment was the ONLY recommended DJ company from our venue, and it's easy to see why! Is it clear that our DJ, Tyler, has so much experience to know what it really takes to keep the dance floor going the whole night! Tyler was also super attentive to our vision. We had a bunch of complicated time stamps during our ceremony, and he hit all of them. He was also such a positive presence throughout the entire night! We told Tyler that we wanted our DJ to be present and observant of the crowd but not to have an overbearing presence, and he definitely adhered to that. Tyler also incorporated the playlists we sent him and continued to supplement with songs that met the vibes we wanted. We're so thankful that we got to work with Top Hat!

I got married on 5/16/24 at Mountain Top Resort and we used Top Hat to rent their Magic Mirror Photo Booth. Not only is the Magic Mirror an amazing addition to the wedding, but our attendant, Megan, was awesome! I had a backdrop put together, but it was too short, so she took it apart and put it back together perfectly to make sure it was at the right height. She also took the time to save extra copies of the photos our guests took so we had them. There were several times where I’d catch her singing along to the music, dancing, and just looking genuinely happy to be there. What an absolute pleasure! The magic mirror is super cool because not only can you print copies for everyone taking photos, but they also send you a link to access digital copies of all of the photos taken! I’m so glad we decided to utilize Top Hat and they were great to work with!!

We had Damon as our DJ for our September 2023 wedding and our dancefloor was packed all night long!! Damon accommodated all the song requests we provided via Spotify and was able to weave all the songs together in a masterful way that kept people of all ages dancing the entire night (seriously no one wanted to a take break and miss a song)! He matched the vibe of our wedding perfectly and brought amazing energy when announcing the bridal party, speeches, and dances. He also crushed the music played during our dinner. He was super easy to work with and was familiar with our venue which was an added bonus! The rest of the Top Hat crew (Mike + Heather) made booking so seamless and got us excited for our big day. Highly recommend Top Hat if you want an easy experience and amazing dance party!!

Top Hat was on the short list of preferred vendors recommended by our venue, and we could see why the list stopped with them! From the very first call through the end of the wedding their whole staff were amazing. We initially had a call with Mike and his energy really got us excited for our wedding, even though it was still 10 months away! We communicated with Heather over email when questions came up and we realized we needed to extend our time. Our wedding DJ was Mark, and he saved the day! He’s worked closely with our Justice of the Peace, and he realized we had mismatched introductions. He also helped get our first dance song cut down, so we didn’t have to dance for 4 minutes! From there he did a great job keeping the energy up and had people on the dance floor all night long. He was such a huge part of making our wedding as memorable as it was! We couldn’t recommend them enough.

Could not recommend this team more highly! They are responsive, easy to work with, and my goodness do they deliver on the party. We recently booked them for a wedding in Upstate New York and the morning after we realized that we had moved the dance floor 8 INCHES from it's original position with how hard the DJ had everyone dancing. The same dance floor that it took 10 people to lift and carry into place! If that's not a ringing endorsement, I don't know what is. Book them!!

From the initial meeting we had with Mike before booking, the booking process, and their communication and professionalism leading up to the day, Top Hat was top notch. We had Rob as our wedding DJ and from our initial meeting with Rob we knew we were in good hands. Rob really took the time to get to know us as a couple and what was important to us for the wedding, which was keeping the dance floor going all night! We expressed to Rob the importance of the DJ for our wedding day and he absolutely delivered. Seriously could not recommend him enough. He kept the energy high all night and our guests are still raving about how the dance floor literally didn't stop all night. Rob went above and beyond, even taking photos for us for our private last dance as our photographer and videographer had already left. 10/10 would recommend!!

We are so grateful to Damon and the Top Hat team for helping to make our wedding such a blast! We told Damon we were hoping for an epic dance party, and he 100% delivered. The dance floor was crowded all night, and just when we thought we might take a break, another great song would come on. In addition to more modern dance hits, Damon wove in crowd favorites from other genres (from the Temptations to Bruce Springsteen to Madonna), so the playlist really had something for everyone. Damon was organized and professional from start to finish and did a great job with the ceremony music, reception speech intros, etc. We definitely recommend Top Hat and, specifically, Damon!

We had Top Hat as our DJ for our wedding at Mountain Top Inn on Memorial Day Weekend. It was flawless! We had our ceremony outdoors out on the knoll, and the audio was fantastic. Mark did an awesome job setting up microphones for our officiant, the bride and groom, and our violinist. Every single part of the ceremony was heard easily by the audience and our videographer. I can’t tell you how important this was for us. We had attended several weddings in the past where the audio had some issue during the ceremony, and it ruins the moment. Mark and Top Hat executed the ceremony to perfection. Mark continued the flawless execution through cocktail hour and the reception. He was accommodating of our music needs, including uploading and using a personal CD of music from my father’s band! The mix of music was great! He had the dance floor full from the moment it opened to the very last song. We also chose to include the Magic Mirror photo booth…which was a huge hit! Everyone loved it! It is such a cool modern twist to the traditional photo booth. We could not be more thankful for Mark and the Top Hat team for such an incredible night. Highly recommend!

We recommend TopHat to anyone who is getting married! They were quick with their communications and made things easy. Mark called us in the days leading up to the wedding to go over all the details which was very helpful. We created a 12+ hour Spotify playlist and Mark did not disappoint on the big day. From cocktail hour, to dinner time, to dancing, he played the perfect songs to match each part of the reception. He also accommodated many song requests from our guests which made for a fun time. Mark had us dancing until the very end! Clayton was also great at handling the photobooth. The photobooth was definitely a popular stop, I know my husband and I were standing there for a long time! The design on each print was also adorable and matched our theme perfectly. TopHat really made the party amazing and we are so happy we had them for our wedding entertainment!

This was an EASY 5-star review - Mike was a quick, efficient, and thoughtful communicator through email, phone calls, Zoom calls, and on the day of our wedding. His crew was consistently excellent and professional. The process of getting the ins and outs of our wedding sorted (which songs played when, orders of speeches, etc.) was well organized, and anything left to Mike to fill in the gaps was done perfectly. My wife and I got feedback from multiple guests that there was not a song played throughout the party that didn't keep everyone partying and dancing. Mike will go above and beyond too! I coordinated a surprise with my mother and the vendors that heavily involved Mike for planning, day-of secrecy and organization, and execution - he was communicative and positive, flexible and supportive, and facilitated this surprise absolutely beautifully. I will be eternally grateful for the work that Mike did for my wife and me for our wedding, and I would trust Top Hat to do any job where music/entertainment is necessary. Thanks again Mike!

Mark is the best! We met him during a vendor mixer and hired him on the spot. He walked us through the process, jumped on calls, and answered questions. He sold us on the Magic Mirror and uplights which were a huge success at our January wedding. My husband and I have different tastes in music, as did our guests, but Mark really brought it all together and made suggestions on what works and what doesn't. Awesome group to work with. Highly recommend! Mike had people of all ages dancing ALL night long! Mike knows weddings backwards and forwards; any questions we had Mike had already thought of and had an answer. They were great to work with; Mike is so charismatic and had us laughing even during planning calls. He treated us like old friends and made us feel like our wedding was the highlight of the year (even though I'm pretty sure they do multiple events every weekend...) We had Mike as our DJ for our Feb 2023 wedding and he brought the party!! He kept the energy up the whole time and was so intuitive to what was needed in the moment. Top Hat Entertainment was also so helpful and responsive though this whole process! There wasn't a minute of the reception that the dancefloor wasn't packed! We were also married in -40F weather and without fail they were ready for any scenario even to be outside of we wanted the ceremony there (we ended up inside and they were ready for that switch with out flinching). If you're getting married in VT they are an essential part of your day.

We had a really good experience with Top Hat! We were stressing about finding a DJ for our October wedding in Vermont during a very busy wedding season, and we found Top Hat through a family friend who had used them for their wedding. Everyone we interacted with at Top Hat was friendly, enthusiastic, and inquisitive about our wedding vision. Mike, our DJ, was a very fun addition to our wedding day, and he was great about checking in with us to make sure he used all the language we preferred for announcements and played our favorite songs. We had a couple delays with dinner at our reception, so our dancing time was cut a little short, and it would have been nice to hit a few more of the dance songs we put on our playlist during that time. But given that Mike was only connected with us a week before our wedding, and we had to change some of our schedule on the fly due to issues at the venue, everything went remarkably smoothly!

The mirror photobooth provided by Top Hat was the hit of our wedding. Our guests had so much fun and we enjoyed looking back at all of the photos taken. The mirror was easy to use and the attendant was extremely friendly and helpful. She helped assemble a photo book for us of the extra pictures that everyone printed. They provided fun props for us and guests to use throughout the evening. It really was the hit of the party! We loved receiving digital copies of the photos too. I recommend everyone get one for their wedding!

We hired Top Hat Entertainment to set-up a magic mirror styled photo booth. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed the ability to take their photos with a wide variety of props, and we really appreciated the attendant that encouraged guests to place their photos in our album so we could have a keepsake from the wedding. They even sent us digital copies of the photos so we can have access to them later. We would definitely use Top Hat Entertainment again.

Top Hat was perfect! Throughout the whole process they were very communicative and easy to work with- always answering all of our questions in a timely manner. I was definitely very particular about the music I wanted to be played for our ceremony, cocktail hour/dinner, and dancing (I made specific playlists) and explained where they could be creative or not and they didn't miss a beat (hah!) and honored everything that I asked for. Especially with how much talking our DJ did (we didn't want a lot and he very much understood). Overall, they were so great to work with and really understood the assignment and crushed it- we got so many compliments on them! Definitely the best DJs in Vermont!

We had DJ Tyler for our wedding and he was AMAZING! During our pre wedding phone call, we told him the most important thing was to get as many people on the dance floor as possible. He definitely delivered! Nobody was sitting down, and he knew exactly what music to play to get people excited. Throughout the night he was organized, flexible, and super easy to work with. Top Hat also provided a photo booth and photo booth operator for us. They had a variety of props, and the operator was so patient and fun! If you are on the fence about a photo booth, do yourself a favor and book it. Our guests loved taking photos with the props, and Top Hat emailed us all the copies a week later. They were so fun! Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend Top Hat to anyone who asks!

We are so happy that we chose Top Hat Entertainment as our wedding DJ! They helped us through the planning process and kept everyone on the dance floor all night, which was exactly what we wanted. They played all of our special request songs, and the sound quality and volume were great all night. We also added on their open air photo booth package. Guests loved getting to use the photo booth, and the attendant made sure to print plenty of copies for everyone in the photo. We were pleasantly surprised that they sent all of the digital copies of the photos after our wedding, so we got to see everyone’s pictures (even the ones we weren’t in). We highly recommend them!

We hired Top hat DJ as our wedding DJ, a mic for our ceremony and to provide a photo booth for our ceremony and we couldn't be more thrilled. One major worry I had was that we would hire a DJ who would BLAST the music so loud that you couldn't hear yourself speak and could only hear the bass versus the actual lyrics. This was not a problem at all as they perfectly balanced the sound and tested it before the ceremony. The whole top hat team was SO friendly and attentive throughout the whole process, and I can happily say that most of our guests were on the dance floor the entire night. The photobooth was a huge hit and they were even so kind as to email us digital copies of every photo strip, which were so much fun to look through after the wedding. I highly recommend hiring this amazing team for your wedding; you will not find folks who are friendlier, more technically proficient or who are better at what they do!

We Couldn't be any happier to have had Top Hat Entertainment (DJ Mike!!!) for our wedding! We're still getting texts and notes from friends and family about how much fun they had thanks to Top Hat. Planning was an absolute breeze, Mike was always willing to help us with whatever we needed and we always felt we were in the best hands. He read the room perfectly, played our favorite dance floor jams, and helped give us the wedding of our dreams. Mike and his team are the best! Mike is so kind, friendly, and professional, and I really enjoyed working with him leading up to wedding day. Him and his team were so helpful during our planning process, and they did such a great job during our ceremony and reception. All our guests LOVED the Magic Mirror, and the digital copies of the photos are truly priceless. Highly recommend!!

Larry was a great DJ for our Estes Park wedding. He was really nice and easy to work with. He was flexible when our wedding coordinator didn't have the projector ready and adjusted our reception timeline to avoid hiccups. His setup was great, he knew how to get people out on the dance floor, he brings his own lights which are also really cool and add ambience! Overall, highly recommend!

Top Hat Entertainment truly brought our wedding to life! Everything from the ceremony to dinner time to dancing at the reception - the music selections were perfect. Tyler was so professional and fun to work with and made us feel at ease leading up to our wedding as well as the day-of. We had so much fun and they played an enormous role in that. I can not recommend Mark and Top Hat highly enough!! Planning a wedding that is 500 miles away is hard but thanks to Mark I had way less to worry about. We had music for the ceremony and reception. He arrived early to set up and coordinated with our venue, caterer and officiant. He made sure all of my preferences were catered to and kept the entire event moving smoothly. All of our guests, of all ages, thoroughly enjoyed the music being played. If you want a true professional to create the perfect atmosphere and check so many worries off your list, Mark and Top Hat are my recommendation.

Working with Top Hat Entertainment was easy and stress free! The process was very simple and they were quick to answer questions. Daren, our DJ, was kind and professional. He called during the week leading up to the wedding and asked all the questions he had! He struck the right balance for our group and kept everyone dancing until the end of the night! Tyler, our DJ, was absolutely amazing and made our wedding day so special! Mike and all the admin staff were great too. Well worth the money. I wouldn’t go with anyone else if given the slightest chance. Don’t underestimate the value of a good DJ either, the set the pace for the night. Tyler couldn’t have done a better job!

The BEST DJ ever! We had Tyler for our DJ and I cannot even express how much fun we had. Literally an "epic all night dance party!" It was perfect. Tyler contacted us a few days before the wedding and went over everything with us- which was really helpful going through the timeline/songs etc. He did a beautiful job during the ceremony - it was very windy during it and you could still hear every single thing. We shared our own vows and the set up Tyler had got every little word. Tyler was very flexible and my dad had a surprise first dance song and he was able to accommodate that last minute. He went above and beyond for us and made my dance floor dreams come true! You re the best!

Top Hat was fantastic! Mike was our DJ and he did an amazing job! He was really fun to work with and had great music taste. The music was so fun and he was able to keep everybody dancing to the very end of the night. One of my bridesmaids was singing our first dance song, and he was super great about it. We sent him the file about a week before the wedding and then he touched base with her between the ceremony and reception and it couldn't have gone more smoothly.

Thank you so much to Mark and Top Hat Entertainment for everything they did to make my daughters wedding celebration so much fun! They provided music for cocktails and the wedding itself- and Mark was great to deal with. He earns extra points for being able to provide a microphone and speaker for the ceremony itself at the last minute- we were so lucky since that little detail wasn't planned for!! Top Hat was great!! We had a small wedding of 20 people that aren't huge dancers and Top Hat was somehow able to get people on the dance floor. We also have a wide range of music tastes that Top Hat was able to seamlessly blend into a killer playlist. They were on time, professional, and so much fun. I highly recommend them!

This company is BEYOND amazing. I wish we could give 10 stars. Mike is extremely easy and fun to work with and the most professional in the state of VT hands down. I planned a corporate Family BBQ in southern VT and Hired Top Hat entertainment to help host TWO parties back to back (in 90+ degree weather). From the inflatables, to the concessions to the DJ, the team was extremely professional, entertaining and fun! Mike is just the best. He rocked both parties, leaving all of our guests and management team excited for next years party! Now, we just need to figure out a date so we can book in time! DO NOT MISS OUT! *I wish I knew of Top Hat when I was planning my wedding!!!*
