ous resort information was scattered and unorganized for what we would have preferred. Additionally, there was a delay in communication with the agent we were working with. Therefore, we decided to do a Google search for destination wedding planners. This is where we stumbled upon Mitch and the TripGuy team. Within approximately one business day, Mitch had already contacted us and set up a meeting to discuss our preferences for location and style of resort. After about a 20 minute phone call, Mitch went to work and said he would provide several resort options that he thought would match our preferences. Shortly after our meeting, Mitch sent us a list of resort options and asked us to do our homework and note all aspects of the resorts that we both liked and disliked. This style of planning worked well for both my wife and me and helped us narrow down the resorts to a select few. Mitch had an impressive knowledge base for each of the resorts that we chose and the various positives and negatives associated with each location. We were extremely happy with the methodology used by Mitch to ensure that we selected the resort that fit our preferences the best. After selecting the resort, we began the process of reserving a block of dates and room type for each of our guests. This phase of the booking process took slightly longer as it required communication between both TripGuy and the resort. However, Mitch did well to keep us updated on the reservation progress. Once we decided on the quantity of rooms and various room types, we were able to sign a contract which guaranteed the room reservations for each of our guests. The next phase required that each of our guests make the reservation payment to secure the room type. This is where we received some negative feedback from several of our guests. At the time of booking (Spring, 2018), the TripGuy payment website was not working well for many of our guests. The payment page would freeze after payment was submitted, leaving our guests unsure as to whether the payment processed. Each of the payments went through; however, it left many of our guests confused and uneasy with the booking confirmation process. We would recommend an updated payment processing system in the future. After we had all of our guests confirmed and rooms reserved, Mitch put us in contact with the wedding coordination team at our resort. This team handled all of the specifics surrounding our wedding ceremony and reception within the resort property. The wedding itself was truly amazing and we couldn't have been happier!! A big thanks to Mitch and the TripGuy team. They brought ease to planning such a large event and were extremely helpful along the way. We would highly recommend TripGuy for those planning a destination wedding!

7 days of that, so Melissa suggested 3 days in cocobay and 4 at sandals. Best decision ever!!!! Cocobay was so authentic, quiet and relaxing. The views were breathtaking. Sandals was also amazing and it was just so cool to experience Antigua in 2 very different but equally awesome resorts. She knew we wanted private plunge pools and hooked us up with them in both resorts. Another reason we love her so much is that our honeymoon was scheduled for last summer, but the NIGHT BEFORE our flight we were in the ER with a medical emergency and had to cancel everything. Melissa took care of every single detail to cancel and got my money back so I could concentrate on my husband's health and not worry about anything else. Melissa also responded to my MANY emails crazy fast. She is a true professional and we'll be using her again next time we travel.

the resort we chose had a great cuisine, which was spot on. The only 2 things that were frustrating, was the beach at the Dreams Tulum was not as amazing as explained; lot of rocks and no real safe area to swim. Several of our friends complained to us about the beach, as well as our son. The second was the transfers to and from the resort. The agency claimed they did not have our info and we were delayed in arriving, and the agency had the wrong flight time when leaving and we were being rushed. As for everything else, and our guests experiences with them things went well, outside of their transfers as well. I would definitely recommend them if you're considering a destination wedding.

Initially, all we knew is that we wanted a wedding on the beach in Mexico. He helped us narrow our resort choices down to the one that was the best fit for us (it ended up being absolutely perfect!), and then provided excellent rates, perks and extras for us and our guests. I loved knowing he'd been to most of the resorts multiple times and knew from experience everything he told us about. Mitch and his team helped us every step of the way, from booking rooms, to arranging transportation and excursions, and even worked with us once we arrived on site to make sure everything was running smoothly, and handling our last-minute changes seamlessly. Mitch also had to step in several times to negotiate with our resort wedding coordinator, making sure we had timely communication and got everything promised to us in our wedding package. Because we worked with TripGuy, we had additional inclusions in our wedding package we wouldn't have gotten if we'd gone through the planning process alone. It was so nice to have an expert on our side! As a side note, this was an LGBT wedding, and it was important to me from the start that we were treated just like any couple planning their wedding. Mitch's team didn't miss a beat. I can't imagine planning another trip without their help and highly recommend them to anyone!

On our wedding day we had an issue where they set up a wedding basically right in front of ours, my husband, our families and Mitch through his contacts in Mexico were absolutely instrumental in getting this issue resolved. We had a perfect wedding and stay at our resort. I am so grateful to Mitch and his team for their knowledge and professionalism and I plan to continue to use them for our travel in the future.

Once I found Tripguy (and realized that they were free of charge for me), Mitch helped me narrow down which resort to chose by spending >1 hour on the phone (2-3 times) with me. He discussed, very honestly, the pros and cons of each resort. It seemed as though he had traveled with his family to many of them and offered first-hand knowledge that made choosing a resort in our budget much easier! The resort we chose ended up delivering exactly what he promised and fell short in all the ways he prepared me for. Mitch explained the wedding planning process and connected me to all the right people before we arrived at the resort. He was able to clarify and answer my questions along the way when I was having difficulty understanding or when the resort was taking a very long time to respond. There were many instances where myself or my guests tried to find the answer to a question (for example how to sign up for a golf tee time), failed, and Mitch would figure it out for us in less than a day. He also helped us to find excursions and got us discounted rates for both excursions that we chose. The excursion company that he connected us too definitely ended up being the best that we observed at the resort. Mitch also worked with my maid of honor in planning the bachelorette party at the resort, giving many options for safe off-resort travel. The response time while planning was, if not immediate, in less than six hours for any question I had. They clearly have an answering system where if your primary agent is not available, someone else responds for them. Once we arrived in Mexico, the response time was IMMEDIATE. My email time stamps show that Mitch emailed me back less than 2 minutes after I emailed him each time. We had two hiccups that required Mitch’s help while at the resort (one involving dinner reservations and one regarding early travel back to the resort from an excursion due to rain). Both times, I emailed Mitch and the problem was resolved immediately. My guests all mentioned how happy they were with their transportation from the airport and said they will use Tripguy again. My brother and his wife just booked their honeymoon to Jamaica with Mitch. Our wedding was everything I hoped for and more. I am so grateful to Mitch and his team at tripguy travel. They made what would have otherwise been a very intimidating and overwhelming wedding planning feat easy and fun. They were our travel-angels watching over us via email while we were away in a foreign country. You definitely want this team on your side while traveling!

for the wedding and then didn't know what to do from there, so we reached out to TripGuy for everything else. We were in contact with Mitch and Christine, who were absolutely amazing!!! They lead us through how to go about choosing how many rooms and what type of rooms to block for the wedding, which was difficult since we weren't positive how many of our family and friends would be able to go. Throughout the process we ended up changing the room type a couple of times, and they were so understanding and contacted the resort immediately to change things for us. They were so good with checking in with us every so often, answering our questions right away, and they were also great with handling emails, calls and questions from all our guests as well!!! We ended up having 50 guests so I can only imagine how hard it can be to keep track of everyone. They were also awesome with sending out reminders to everyone about when hotel costs were due, information about flight and transportation upon arrival, etc. Additionally, we used TripGuy to set up a huge group excursion with all our guests, and then another excursion just for my husband and me on our honeymoon. Mitch was emailing me the morning of the excursion to make sure the drivers were arriving and that everything was going smoothly. Not to mention, after we arrived to the resort for our honeymoon, we were welcomed with chocolates and a welcome/congratulatory note from Mitch! How thoughtful! You CANNOT go wrong with these guys... they went above and beyond for us, and listened to what we wanted without being pushy, and it helps that they've been to a lot of these places so they're very knowledgeable about what to expect! Initially we were debating between TripGuy and another local travel company, and after talking with the local company and seeing how much information they didn't know since they were unfamiliar with the particular location and resort we were going to, it was a no-brainer. We will definitely be using TripGuy again for future travel plans! Another awesome point - there is NO out of pocket cost since they work off commissions. Perfect blend of private and social, the resort was perfect for us! The food was definitely the highlight with over 8 restaurants to choose from each was amazing!! Unfortunately, I experienced some challenges with my wedding venue and Mitch quickly became my liaison and advocated for me. This alone was gold for me! They were quick to respond to both emails and phone calls from us and our guests, and were actively engaged and helpful in the entire wedding planning process. Mitch and Christine not only helped all of our guests book their rooms and assist with flights, but they also coordinated private transportation both ways between the airport and resort. They fought numerous times to get a lower group rate at our resort (and succeeded) to make it more affordable for our guests. BUT they didn't only assist with the travel and stay, Mitch also stepped in when I was having some major problems with my resort appointed wedding planner and immediate action was taken. This group seriously knows what they're doing and I cannot thank them enough. They exceeded every expectation of someone who is very difficult to please. If you need a travel agent to assist with your destination wedding, or even just to help plan your honeymoon I would ONLY recommend Mitch Toren and his amazing team.

OME. We worked with Mitch and Christine. Mitch did an AMAZING job guiding us to the right resort for us. I love that he's been to all of the resorts on several occasions and can tell you exactly what to expect. After a few conversations, he helped us zero in on an absolutely perfect resort for us and our guests (Azul Beach Hotel in Riviera Maya). For a destination wedding, this was an absolutely critical step and I found Mitch to be knowledgeable, discerning, and incredibly patient and receptive to my many questions. For the guests - we had 77 total - they were coming from all over the country. TripGuy had an easy packet for us to send to our guests and set up a website for booking, deposits, payments, etc. They also regularly provided us with updates and answered any oddball question we threw at them. They were also VERY RESPONSIVE - emails were answered in minutes. The guests loved working with them - they were efficient and knowledgeable. I have a few friends who are now using them for booking other vacations. They were also very responsive to any guests questions and concerns, which totally freed me up. TripGuy also handled any unexpected obstacles that emerged. At one point our on-site wedding planner was not responding to us and Mitch was actually going to that resort and offered to follow up with them in person (they responded, so it was unnecessary, but nice to know he would have). I also had a last minute crisis (totally unrelated to trip guy) and they completely responded to my last minute request promptly and compassionately. They absolutely went above and beyond my expectations and I strongly encourage you to go with them if booking a destination wedding, or any trip for that matter. Oh, and best part? They work off commission so there is no out of pocket cost to you or your guests. They also want to ensure that you have an absolutely amazing time so that you'll use them again, so the incentives are all in the right place. If your doing a destination wedding, at least do a telephone conference with them. They're so knowledgeable and experienced - you'll be impressed and will avoid so much stress. Happy planning!

Not only did she go above and beyond, ensuring that we were taken care of, but she was carefully watching the weather, our flight status, etc. to ensure that we made it to the island and back home smoothly. Her personal touch made our trip, and our vow renewal, extra special. Since then, we have booked 2 additional Caribbean vacations through Ruth at TripGuy and we hope to book many more in the future!

e we were searching, we kept reading reviews on TripAdvisor.com that mentioned someone known as IrieLady (Ruth!) and that if we needed help, we should contact her ASAP. I am so happy that we did because Ruth and her team were incredibly helpful! She responded promptly and every time after that, so her communication is great! She is very knowledgeable of many resorts, because she actually travels to them and stays there to get all the details (very helpful in the planning process!). She did not force anything on us throughout the planning process, but instead provided us with options of resorts, rooms, airfare, etc. that we could select to meet our needs exactly. She stayed in contact with us before our trip, during our trip and after our trip. She was also able to find options that worked for us within our budget! We live in Michigan but we able to plan everything over Internet/email and phone. I hope to someday meet Ruth and her husband in our future travels :) I HIGHLY recommend contacting TripGuy travel if you are in need of help planning a honeymoon, or any other vacation. We will definitely be using their services again in the future!
