10/10 recommend! I cannot speak highly enough about Liesel and her team! She is beyond talented! It was obvious that she cared so much about me, how I looked, and also how I felt throughout the entire process! My hair and make up trial was thorough and personable. And on the morning of the wedding she was on time, kept to her timeline, and helped everyone feel relaxed, comfortable, and beautiful! Liesel is the hidden gem of New England! With her close attention to detail, friendly and approachable personality, professionalism, and top brand products there is simply no one better to prepare a bride before her big day.

This past March, my now-husband and I got married at Mountain Top Inn. I had been waffling about whether or not I wanted to do full hair & makeup because I don't typically do either, and have not had great experiences in the past, but ultimately decided to go for it. Our coordinator at Mountain Top Inn recommended Liesel and her team at True VT Beauty, in part because they're well known for working with people who like a more toned-down or natural look (though they can do anything)! I reached out to Liesel a couple months before my wedding date, which is typically pretty short notice, and luckily she still had availability. She was patient in working through the details (e.g. how many bridesmaids / family members would need hair + makeup) and was very accommodating to distance and time zone differences (I live in SF). Since we didn't have an opportunity for an in-person trial, we met over Zoom to go over details. We ran into a number of technical hurdles, but she didn't let that alter how much time we spent to make sure we got all the details hammered out. The day of, Liesel and her team showed up on time and with everything they needed. They were calm, kind and patient, even though we were in a large home with lots of hubbub (grandparents, toddlers, the works). She even accepted last minute additions, and made my two-year old niece feel very special by doing small pieces of her hair. Everyone loved their hair & makeup, myself included. Liesel and her team continued to be attentive throughout photos, and offered touch ups to whomever wanted them, as-needed (though no one really needed them -- the hair and makeup lasted well into the night!). Other notes: - When I did go to remove my hair, I quickly realized that it would have lasted days. It had SO many pins in it keeping it secure. This is exactly what you want when you're dancing all night! - We ended up having roughly 10 people do hair and makeup. maybe 11 or 12 if we include a couple last minute adds who did just hair or just makeup. As someone who wears almost no makeup and that air dries her hair finding a hair/makeup artist for my wedding day that made me look natural and beautiful was nerve-racking. When I first started looking for a hair/makeup artist for my wedding I started looking through Instagram where I came across Liesel and True Vermont Beauty. I looked through her posts and immediately knew that she had to be my hair/makeup artist. I knew exactly what I wanted and knew that Liesel would make it happen just after our introductory quick phone call. Liesel responded quickly and answered all of my questions. When I met with her for my trial at her salon, everything felt like it was falling into place. Liesel walked me through the whole process of what she was using and why, and Andrea, Liesel's assistant, helped me decide on lip color which truly pulled my whole look together. On the wedding day, Liesel and Andrea showed up bright and early! My bridesmaids raved about their hair and makeup and just how personable Liesel and Andrea were. I would highly recommend True Vermont Beauty to anyone that wants to feel and look fabulous on their wedding day!

Liesel did such an incredible job with my wedding! My mother, my bridesmaids and I truly enjoyed getting ready for my wedding with her. During the trial, Liesel gets to know you and your vision for your wedding day and is conscientious and professional about making your dream look a reality for your wedding day. My hair and make up was absolutely perfect and all of the adjustments we wanted to make from the trial translated perfectly into the final product. A MUST!!! Choosing True VT beauty was an easy decision as far as booking for my own wedding. I was lucky enough to have experienced Liesel in action for my sister’s wedding. Having a trial in advance helped create a great relationship with Liesel so she knew exactly what to expect for the day of my wedding. As someone that never does my own hair and make up, all of the product used felt perfect on my skin and hair. Liesel even helped me with finding a skin care routine prior to my wedding day. Liesel and Andrea put the time and detail into making everyone look and feel wedding ready. As the bride, Liesel made me feel so special and I highly recommend her for your big day!

I cannot say enough great things about Liesel and her team. Hair and make-up was my hardest vendor to book because I have never had a great experience with hair and make-up, I am a bit picky. With this being said, Liesel's team was PERFECT. Every single one of my bridesmaids looked amazing. She enhances people's natural beauty without over-doing it or making anyone look like they have too much make-up on. I had brought a very specific picture and Liesel nailed it completely. She even mixed colors to make the look absolutely perfect and match the picture exactly. Each person had a unique hairstyle, but they mastered each one perfectly. Liesel is just as attentive to detail as I am, which I appreciated so much. I was able to be relaxed the day of the wedding knowing that we were all in great hands.

Liesel did an amazing job making my wedding party look and feel so beautiful on my wedding day! Starting with the trial I did a month ahead of my wedding, Liesel took the time to understand what I wanted and executed perfectly. She took notes and pictures so she had everything ready for the day-of. I ended up changing what I wanted for both hair and makeup and she accommodated without any hesitation. The end result was absolutely perfect, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. The skincare line she uses is high end which made my makeup sit beautifully. Even through all the tears during pre ceremony private vows, my makeup still looked flawless! Liesel and her daughter who assisted are both such kind and friendly people, and they brought a calm and cheerful vibe to the morning. I can’t recommend them enough to for your special day!!!

True Vermont Beauty and Liesel are AMAZING! From trial day to wedding day, Liesel was easy to communicate with, friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. At my trial, Liesel dedicated the time to answer all my questions and get to know me, my style, and the vision I had for my wedding day look, all while giving me really helpful feedback and reccomendations. I suffer from acne scars on my cheeks and jawline and Liesel gave me great skincare advice that had my skin smooth and glowing by wedding day. A few weeks before the wedding, Lisel reached out to confirm timeline details and see if there was anything I needed. She also sent a very helpful bridesmaids guide that I could pass along to my bridal party. On wedding day, there were 10 in my party (myself, seven bridesmaids, my mother, and MIL). Liesel and her assistant were on time and made the morning go so smoothly, making a busy morning feel comfortable and easy. They were also lots of fun – playing music, sharing stories, and all laughing together. My bridal party and I felt stunning the whole day and we all couldn't stop talking about how much we loved our looks. Finally, True VT Beauty uses quality products and because of that, my hair and make up withstood the rainy weather and, albeit, a very fun but very sweaty dancefloor! It's clear that Liesel has a passion for this work and wants to make every bride feel and look their best on their wedding day. I can't recommend True Vermont Beauty enough!

Liesel was absolutely amazing!!! I basically never wear makeup so was nervous about finding someone to do my makeup for my wedding and she made me feel so naturally beautiful. If you’re a simple VT girlie, Liesel is your girl! Hair was also absolutely incredible. I went for a trial which was so much fun. Cannot recommend enough!!

From the first phone call I could tell she was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and just had a relaxed/chill vibe which is exactly what I needed. At my trial she took excellent care of me, and was really great about receiving my feedback along throughout the trial and afterwards. She sent me clear instructions to share with my bridesmaids and moms for the day of, and was super helpful with planning the timeline. On wedding day, she arrived on time and helped us stick to the timeline pretty much perfectly. She remained calm as I got stressed out at times. As my bridesmaids were all sidetracked with the excitement and stress of also being ready on time, she jumped in to place my veil. She even went above and beyond to shuttle out to where I was doing my first look/vows to fix my makeup after I balled like a baby and I was good as new! Her work is beautiful, I felt so beautiful, as did my entire crew. I highly highly recommend working with her, you will not regret it!!!

Liesel and her assistants were so friendly and took the time to listen to each of my bridal party's requests for their hair and makeup on my wedding day. Even when some bridal party members got picky, everyone on her team was very patient and open to helping them look exactly how they wanted. Liesel and her team were amazing and I highly recommend them! They were up bright and early on New Years Day to glam up me, the bridesmaids and moms and did an amazing job! From the first contact to the trial to the day of the wedding, I was very impressed with the communication and ease of everything! They worked with our inspo pictures, made recommendations for our personal looks and responded great to any feedback or small changes that needed to be made. 10/10 recommend! Also - our looks lasted the whole night of partying!

Wow. Just Wow. Liesel is 1000% the person you want doing your hair and makeup on your wedding day. We hosted an intimate wedding at an Airbnb in the middle of nowhere and she was more than willing to haul out there for my special day and did such an incredible job with both my maid of honor and myself. She is so kind and so genuine, she puts all of your concerns and doubts at ease. She has a lot of experience working with brides and bridal parties and knows all the correct questions to ask to make your day completely stress free. Liesel was amazing! Right up til the last minute I wasn't sure who was having hair and makeup done from my wedding party. She was wonderful and very accomodating, as well as her assistant, Andrea. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day.

Liesel is the best!!! I feel so lucky that we were able to work with her for our wedding. First of all, I know absolutely nothing about hair or makeup, and she totally guided me through finding a style. She took one look at the pictures I picked out and was able to tell exactly what I was looking for, and she seemed to have a really good read on my style and personality. She seemed to do this so effortlessly and so intuitively, and to incorporate it into how she did my whole look. Anyone can put makeup on someone or do someone's hair, but it's a really good stylist who can pinpoint all the important things (that you yourself aren't even aware of), and use them to figure out what will make you look a) your best, and b) exactly how you want to look. In addition, my bridal party was pretty diverse - in terms of race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation and gender expression. Liesel and her assistant had no trouble working with very different styles and personalities. Also, she is just such a down-to-earth, funny, engaging person with such humanness and warmth. She makes everyone feel like they've known her forever. Your stylist is necessarily going to be a big part of your day, so it's a big plus when they're really fun to interact with. Everyone in my bridal party commented on how awesome she is. You will definitely not regret working with True Vermont Beauty/Liesel (if you're lucky enough to do so). If you get the chance to work with her, take it!!!

Liesel made everyone look so beautiful and also feel beautiful. She perfectly fulfilled my vision of the old Hollywood bride. I loved it! She was prompt, organized, and calm—all the things you need on your wedding day. Everyone loved having her around. She listened to what everyone wanted and delivered. I booked Liesel for my wedding this October and she made my bridesmaids and me look fabulous! I was a little nervous since my wedding was far from where I live and I couldn't make it for a hair/makeup trial but Liesel was flexible and met with me via zoom to discuss my wedding vision. Lisesel is THE BEST! I contacted her a month before my elopement, and I couldn’t have been happier. She asked for some pictures of the look I was going for and my hair and makeup ended up being better than any of the pictures! I received SO many compliments on my wedding day and felt AMAZING!

Liesel was fantastic! Trying to find a vendor in the middle of pandemic was somewhat nerve-wracking but I'm so happy I found her. She was so go with the flow and did everything we asked for. I had gone up for a hair and make up trial in June - changed my mind a few times and she pivoted without hesitation morning of the wedding. Honestly I have never felt more beautiful than I did that day - isn't that every Brides wish. I highly recommend Liesel - If I had to do it over again I would choose her in a heart beat.

She made the most of the space that we had and was not bothered by the chaos of setting up for the wedding that was going on nearby!
