My bridal shower was a complete surprise planned by my sisters and it was a lovely surprise.The grounds and banquet room were absolutely beautiful.The food and service was superb I will most defiantly be having another event there.

My wife and I saw this venue and did not need to look any further. We got married at the Pavilion outside. Marlo the event planner was very helpful. The menu is very well priced, the food was great, and the outdoor setting was perfect.

Tunxis Plantation and Marlo (the wedding coordinator) did everything they could to make sure our day was fantastic. We were married, and had our reception, in the outdoor pavilion. Even though it was a hot July day, all anyone can talk about was how beautiful and hiccup-free the reception was. We had a buffet reception and everyone agreed that the food was amazing. Everything was well-cooked and well-seasoned. The choices were varied and we were not disappointed with any of our choices. No matter what questions we had, Marlo and her team responded with an answer within 24 hours. We would recommend this site to anyone who is getting married in Connecticut.
We couldn't have been happier with our decision of choosing Tunxis Plantation Country Club as our wedding reception venue! Marlo and Kristine truly went above and beyond to make our day beautiful and had everything so well-prepared and organized. Communication was one thing that I was very impressed with especially - I would send an email to Marlo or Kristine and get a response within a few hours (sometimes even minutes)! Kristine was in charge of the decorations for our reception and we received so many compliments from our guests saying how beautiful everything was under the pavillion. Thanks Marlo and Kristine for being so amazing!!

The food was wonderful (guests are still talking about the food). Photos taken on the golf course were beautiful.;The banquet manager (Annie) was very disorganized and made the planning process very stressful and difficult. She was not always available by phone and did not return phone calls or emails in a timely fashion (sometimes took several calls over several days to get in touch with her)....VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! Special details which were discussed on several different occasions at length regarding how our ceremony and reception were to be set up were not followed through. Toasting glasses were not on our table (we had a sweetheart table for us), and we were supposed to have our own waitperson for just us which didn't happen. Guests were not dirrected to the salad portion of the buffet. My flower arrangements from the ceremony were not moved to the reception (I found them in a corner by the gift table, not placed around the placecard table or the bar area as I had asked). Annie was rude to my family and wedding party at our rehearsal, and also cut off my rehearsal after less than 30 minutes telling us that she had a meeting. She was also supposed to coordinate ceremony rose petals with my florist and never did. 3 days before our wedding she didn't even know what our cocktail hour and main dinner menu choices were (we had picked them all out in 6 months prior at the food tasting....) There are many other things, these examples are just a sampling of all the annoyances and frustrations that we experienced!
