On the day of our wedding, he worked closely with our Day-of Coordinator, and the other vendors, to make sure our event stayed on track and all our guests enjoyed themselves. His playful games during dinner service kept everyone laughing, and I wish we had time for more. His “Love Story” was very well written. He captured the perspectives of both the bride and groom as he retraced all of the events, starting from our first meeting to the day of our wedding. Norman’s energy and enthusiasm is contagious, and it’s clear that he is passionate about his work. He is highly decorated in his field with many certifications and awards for excellence. We had several options among friends and family who also offered to DJ our event. But we chose Ultimate Sounds because we knew that Norman offered all the extras that elevated a good event into an amazing one.

ied on a college football Saturday he gave all our Texas guests something to cheer about when he played the Texas Tech Fight Song before we cut the groom's cake! A huge thing we loved was his versatility with our music requests. We asked him to mix so many different genre's of music that we didn't know how he would do it, but HE NAILED IT! Going from Texas Country to 90's Hip-Hop anthems to Tejano, Cumbia and everything in between...it was perfect! If you've come across Norman's Ultimate Sounds look no further. BOOK IT!

Before meeting with Norman, I was working with another DJ group where even setting up the preliminary meeting took weeks. I ended up foregoing them. With Norman, we had a meeting within less than a week after we emailed him and we met close to our office. Even though we were exhausted that day, Norman’s energy really powered us up and had us excited. It was so enjoyable and easy to talk to him. Right away, you can tell he was very passionate about what he does. He was welled prepared and professional during our meeting. I am still impressed to this day since I remembered I wanted to have a short meeting going in and I left being so impressed how engaged we were while talking for over an hr (I can talk a lot)! After we hired him, he was always responsive throughout the preparations of our wedding. He really worked with us with the timelines and our photographer. I felt he truly made the entire process so easy. His attendance to our rehearsal meeting made us feel so comfortable for our big day. On the wedding day, he was good on being on time, had all the necessary equipment to have music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner reception. What is most important is we had such a terrific time. This is why we cannot help but say so many great things about Norman. My only regret was I wished we asked him to help with the wedding coordinator instead of the one my venue offered. (The wedding coordinator never got us to start the wedding as we sat there for 30 mins waiting for her.) Acquiring Norman services as our DJ was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

He even drove all the way from San Jose to our venue in Pebble Beach the day before the wedding to rehearse with us. As a MC, he did a great job introducing our bridal party and family. He was very attentive to make sure he pronounced Vietnamese names correctly. As a DJ, he took notes of all of our requests. I picked out a couple of songs specifically and only gave general instructions that I wanted 90’s pop played. Norman managed to pull together such a fun playlist that my guests could not stop raving about. If you’re planning a wedding in Northern California, don’t hesitate booking Norman! He will go above and beyond. His pricing is very reasonable and there was no hidden cost that I found in some other vendors’ quote.

The last thing you need during wedding planning is a vendor who won't respond to your e-mails or is unwilling to meet in person. +Norman did a lot of musical edits for us. I wanted the processional to omit certain vocals and loop other areas. I wanted the reception entrance song to mash a cover with the original. Norman and I talked a lot about musical timing and I gave him a super specific document of "demands" (lol), and he didn't balk once. He even came to our rehearsal so we can get the timing right for the ceremony. +All the guests loved his MC skills. Norman really does have a great speaking voice (with clarity and energy) and helped keep us on schedule during the reception. +He actually delivered on my "must-play list" and "do-not-play list"! +He offers this "Love Story" option, and we originally weren't going to do it, but I'm really glad we did. It was a nice trip down memory lane and our guests got to know us a little better. Norman had the crowd laughing and saying "awww" the whole time. :) +I think Norman watched my facial expressions throughout our wedding... He played a particular song (I forgot to add it to the DNP list), and I must've made a stink face because he immediately changed the song. Likewise, I originally asked him to shorten the reception entrance song for my husband and I, but in that moment, we were really feeling it! Norman must've picked up on that because he continued the song and let us dance. Honestly, my husband and I were apprehensive about spending big bucks on a DJ/MC. But in the end, Norman was worth every penny. (He actually is priced lower than other comparable DJ's, fyi.) Out of all the vendors we hired, we are most happy and satisfied with Norman and I'll be recommending him to all my family and friends for future weddings.

Norman was a huge help in keeping the flow of the wedding and sticking to the timeline as best he could, given the fact that the bride and groom were MIA (missing in action) most of the night. I had many guest come up to me after the wedding and tell me how great he was. They told me, that it was nice how he had involved the crowd in games and at one point, even got on the dance floor with a MIC and taught the crowd how to do some line dances!! Norman played a huge part in making our wedding a fun and memorable experience for me, my husband, and our guests. I can't thank him enough and I would hands down recommend him for your wedding! husband and I got married on Oct.3rd and we still hear comments from friends and especially family members about what a great time they had and how they loved the music that was played and the energy that the DJ had. Norman was recommended to us by close friends, we had been to an event that Norman was the DJ at and needless to say, we had a great time. Our first meeting with Norman was great! He spent a good amount of time with us, asking questions about how we met, how the proposal happened, our interests and what our expectations were of our wedding. Out of all the vendors we had for the wedding, he by far was the most professional and made us feel like we were important and it was all about us. He was very professional and when our meeting was over, he had a binder filled with paperwork for us to fill, info sheets for our wedding party, possible song ideas for the different dances through out the reception. Those were extremely helpful. He also included a check list for the actual wedding day, and a check list of what we should be completing every month before the wedding. My favorite part was the love story section, we each had to write about our story as a couple and then Norman would tell our story the day of the wedding. This was one of the best parts of the wedding, having Norman tell our story brought tears to my eyes, it was like we were listening to it for the first time. Norman took pieces from what I wrote and what my husband wrote and recreated an amazing story. Our wedding theme was Art Deco/old Hollywood and Norman played postmodern jukebox during the cocktail hour and that really set the mood of the era. He even brought and old school vintage looking microphone and was dressed for the era. That was amazing! He had the great idea of introducing our wedding party with walk up songs and with a short introduction about them. Everyone loved that idea and Norman absolutely killed it. He was so entertaining and was making the crowd laugh it was amazing! Through out the rest of the night he made sure to keep us updated with how we were on time. And worked great with the venue's event planner through out the night getting us things we needed and making sure things ran smoothly. Once the official dancing time started everyone was having a blast. I spent most of the night dancing and so did our guests. He played a great variety of music especially for the different preferences of music our guests had. I wish I could give Norman more than 5 stars because he made our wedding so memorable, it was awesome and magical and I thank him for that! I am so glad we decided to chose him to be our DJ. Best decision ever!

ng photographer so have been to a number of weddings and got to witness the importance of DJ/MC because it can and will make it or break it. No matter how beautiful the dress is, no matter how delicious foods are, no matter how pretty the decorations are, if the music or the MC doesn't run smooth, it can dampen everything and create an awkward atmosphere instead of fun party. Norman was everything you could ask for from a professional DJ/MC. On the first face to face meeting, he brought a binder with a number of sheets for our keeping. The binder included all the requirements/background info he needs, suggested playlist for each of the processions, and general wedding related tips such as the list of items to include in the emergency kit for the day. So when we were handed the binder, we knew he was very well prepared. Working with him through emails was very easy as Norman was always responsive to our inquiries and provided tips and advises. Then a couple weeks before the wedding, he met with us one more time to go over the music settings as well as to discuss what needs to be done as MC. He also came to the rehearsal on the day before wedding and checked out the floor plan and the settings. On the day of wedding, he was on time. What I was really amazed at was how perfect the sound systems were set. At a number of weddings I have been to, I saw many times where the music or the microphone was set either too quiet or loud where it was distracting, which can easily disrupt one of the most important events in life. But Norman had his system perfectly set up so the background musics were greatly mixed into the ambience. Also we had three spots that requires music and Norman provided the music on all three locations on time seamlessly. Norman's MC skill was great as well. He was very succinct, perfect timing, and had full control of what was going on so he could control the mood of the crowd. His appearance was also very professional and proper to the occasion. I will recommend Norman with the highest regard in a heartbeat to anyone!

Most people have no idea that a wedding DJ is very different then just a DJ! Norman held the whole Wedding reception together! He was the best MC and DJ all in one! He know what needed to be done and how to get it done. Less then a week after meeting with Norman we got our "binder" in the mail! Everything we wanted for our wedding reception was laid out in this binder with instructions on what details he needed from us. Anytime we had a question we could call him and he had an answer. Norman does a "love story," I can tell you he is 1 of a few in the whole Bay Area who even know how to do this. So worth doing! The guest loved it just as much as my husband and I. He also played a few games with the guest and a couple game with us, so fun. Our guest couldn't stop talking about how neat it was to have such an amazing MC. He played all the music we wanted and even noted ALL songs we did NOT want played. From the minute he started the reception vibe was "on point" (perfect). Our guest couldn't stop telling us how everything flowed so great! I couldn't agree more! I was a stressed bride, and Norman took away all my stress the minute I walked into the reception hall! I couldn't be happier with our choice! He has many awards and certificates, ask to see them; so worth looking at. He was professional the whole time, his attire looked great! He dressed for the occasion. His equipment is top of the line. My husband and I also had up-lighting, our monogram projected on the wall and fog for our first dance (looked like we were dancing on clouds). This was ALL provided by Norman! It looked amazing, he transformed the hall! His up-lighting was beautiful! I so happy we picked him! Feel so Proud to say I had an AMAZING reception thanks to Norman at Ultimate Sounds! You can't go wrong with him. He gave my husband and I all we wanted for our reception and more. We could not have been more pleased with Norman. Save yourself time and meet with him FIRST!

With Norman/UA, he new what music we were referring to. Norman even gave us a wedding binder checklist that he created to help us through the wedding process. Norman and UA works around the clock; I was able to email Norman the night before and the morning of our wedding, and he responded quickly!!! There was also changes during our wedding with speeches/blessings and Norman was quick to help and adapt. Norman suggested a lot of fun wedding games during dinner service which kept our guests entertained. He can also get all of our guests on the dance floor, young and old!!! Norman is great with the microphone, he’s funny, charming and sincere. For any of our future friends and family that is looking for a DJ or a MC service, I definitely recommend Ultimate Sounds!!

ng. That fun was all because of Ultimate Sounds. Norman was recommended to us by family, friends, and co-workers. My Parents told me from the very beginning, you have to get Norman and Ultimate Sounds for your wedding because he is the best DJ out there. My dad (whom is a musician) said "You want people to get down on the dance floor, Norman is your man." From our very first meeting, Norman was professional, prepared, organized, and very knowledgeable. As you know wedding planning is stressful and overwhelming, especially when their are multiple vendors. Being a super organized person and OCD Bride, I knew upon our first meeting with Norman that our entertainment was not only going to be the BEST out there, but that he was going to be on top of everything and make sure that everyone had a great time. I literally wanted to cry (happy tears) when Norman sent us a binder with information that he needed and song suggestions for every part of the wedding reception. Norman was in constant communication with us and took the song list we gave him from our guests RSVP's "A song to get me on the dance floor." Our wedding had over 250 guests ranging in age, ethnicity, and music preferences. We had requests from Banda, funk, Bachata, 90's, R&B, and Banghara and Norman mixed it all up and made it flow. People would hear the song they requested and literally run to the dance floor. Our dance floor was always full with people dancing, smiling, laughing, and enjoying themselves from the very first song played til the very last song. People even asked us to keep the dance party going for another hour (we totally would if we could). We can not thank Norman and Ultimate Sounds enough for making our wedding reception beyond Amazing, Entertaining, FUN and quite honestly the Best Party we have ever been to!

He has SO many great ideas for making your reception different. He has several games and fun ideas to make the things that everyone expects at a wedding - different and unique. Our guests loved the items that we chose from his collection of games/ideas. IN FACT, one of my friends who is getting married wanted to hire him on the spot at our wedding. 3. Thorough knowledge of wedding planning. Norman's initial meeting will make you aware of all the details that he's aware of (includes a timeline sheet, a checklist for creating a day-of emergency box, he brings an extra garter just in case, etc.) We also received his newsletter which included short articles on common topics to help inform clients on their event decisions. 4. Norman is so flexible! We had decided to cut a garter toss on the spot because we wanted our guests to have more time to dance. He went with it and kept the music playing as he told the crowd we were skipping it. It was smooth. We asked him to read some of the advice cards that our guests filled out - he did it and encouraged the crowd to fill out more. I could go on and on about the many great things that Norman provides... but I'll stop here. :) Again, I can't stress enough that Norman is worth every penny!! He set out to ensure that the music for our ceremony and that our reception all went off without a hitch.
