We’re a team of creative individuals doing what we love. Frequently asked How far in advance do I need to book? Bookings happen quickly, do your best to book as soon as you know your date and venue. We start with your date first to save you time, because without availability we can only help recommend some of the trusted partners. We have & are happy to provide other vendors we know & trust who would be an excellent fit for your event. What are the deposit and total amount? Super simple. We have a deposit and a payment system. You can do a 50/50 split, monthly payments or pay in full. The choice is yours. Once we have your deposit, we can lock in your date. All remaining balances are due 30 business days before your day—that easy. What is included? That all depends, did you book us for coordination, photo, video, and our photo booth? d hairstylists running us behind by an hour, and it rained the whole day. Which we, the girls, did not get our photos before the ceremony. I see why she pressed so hard for her colleagues. I wished I would have just spent the money on them, so we had more experienced hair and makeup not to run us behind. Heather and Nick were able to move family portraits around after the ceremony, so my girls and I got our photos. Oh, and they also showed up early, so they were able to get a lot of my husband's family portraits done along with the decor for the reception, so whatever time we were running behind on, we had some wiggle room. Heather and Nick know how to think on their feet fast, so they don't miss a moment. They kept our family and friends laughing the whole time. They are not your traditional photographers, but man they know ho to have fun and work super hard, plus their work is stunning. Thank you so much for everything. So where to begin… As stated numerous times before by others below, we sincerely regret hiring Heather/Uptown & More to photograph our wedding. Communication does not seem to be a priority for Heather and when she finally decides to answer, she...
’ll respond to only part of the message and ignore the parts she doesn’t want to answer or, she’ll leave mid-conversation and disappear until you try contacting her again. She often used social media to give public excuses for not having reliable communication which coincidently always seemed to happen after we contacted her and were expecting a response. She overpromised her services and abilities to us, which I can assume is partially the reason we were ignored. She was unable to capture many special moments effectively which ultimately caused her to not provide those pictures to us as she deemed them to not be worthy. For example, there are no close-ups of any special moments during our actual ceremony. No close-up pictures of our first kiss, exchanging rings, or even just us in front of the altar. Most importantly, there are no pictures of our actual wedding day cake. She lacked the attention to detail that one would expect from someone you would trust to capture these moments. She didn’t listen to our requests whatsoever and instead provided us with whatever she felt was sufficient. She provided unrealistic deadlines for herself to which she didn’t even adhere anyway. Overall, we were very disappointed with her unprofessionalism, dishonesty, lack of communication and quality of work. If communication and honesty are what you are looking for in a wedding photographer, I would not recommend Uptown & More.

the alter after you were 45 minutes late to your ceremony only leaves us with a literal handful of minutes to get the fantastic shots we did. All before the venue ushered us out the door, as we were beyond the 1 hour time reserved. As far with your the missed images you are speaking of, every moment was captured from the first kiss, exchanging rings, or even just us in front of the altar — this the link to the ceremony photos https://uptownmore.shootproof.com/gallery/grisellandmichaelswedding/album/6079083. We try to stay on time, but if you remember it started when you were late to the airport for shoot time, you woke up late every morning for our sunrise, and even our sunsets shoot every day of the week we were in Vegas. You were also still making your bouquet three hours before the ceremony, along with sewing your husband's vest in the car and always making your bouquet at the venue. You had a lot of your plate, and I honestly tried my hardest to help as much as I could, even by cutting stuff out for you to sew and helping you make your bouquet, which I was only hired to capture your elopement.
On top of that, we had to drop you off at the venue and then had to find parking for your car in Las Vegas. Finally, after finding parking that wouldn't tow us, we then rush to the venue to set up. Even with being 45 mins late, your guests were still not there until the last 5 mins of your time. We shot overtime to get the portraits and pushed our luck with the venue. I know things got a little crazy, but we ran with the punches and gave 7 days of none stop important actions. With Peeks, Night Life, Casinos, Dinners, Ghost Towns, and Water Damns. We got First Looks, Ceremony, Details, and Portraits. Plus, you got seven days of photo and video that was complimentary that you have shared all over youtube and your business page, which is against our copyrights clause in our agreement, telling everyone even us how happy you are. About the angles of our pictures for your ceremony at Taco Bell, the size of the room with all the chairs left us with very little room. Plus, your guest was in the alter also made it hard to capture what we needed, and you can see in one of your pictures in your ceremony gallery off him in the way with his phone. So instead of getting upset for breaking our no phone guest clause, we just took a photo of him taking a picture of you, which was a pretty cool shot a say myself. As far as the cake, it was not pulled till then end when we were way past our 1 hour time. Our gear was put away and leaving since it was the end of our time. But with everything that happened, we did go above and beyond for you, and it breaks my heart cause we care about all our clients very much. That's odd for the lack of responding; I have about 100 FB messages, 80 texts messages, 20 phone calls, ten emails with me helping the planning process of both weddings, along with shooting locations and outfits. Which again, you did not hire me for any of our coordination services or event styling. I did all of this out of the kindness of my heart. I hope this wasn't from last week when you asked for raw footage, and I had to tell you we don't give our raw footage. You are more than welcome to buy the copyrights to it. So you can use it for your business. Grisell and Micheal, you can see by many reviews, and even on my personal Facebook page that you are still friends with me on everyone is happy with us and our services. I always announce updates for our clients on Facebook, so they know they are not being ignored, and they know why we have not answered right away. We try to keep everyone in the loop as much as possible with updates everywhere. We send an email, texts, FB messenger, Facebook timelines, and Instagram. Sometimes our clients say we talk too much and give to much info not enough or not being around. At Uptown, we treat everyone like family in Uptown, and we know sometimes we can't always make family and friends, and they are happy with our services, but I do hope to make this write with you and Micheal. So I hope we can sit down and talk through this. I hate that you feel this way.

ch so here I am again, my worst decision was using uptown & More, we had hoped for a courtesy visit to meet the couple when we arrived from uk to discuss preferences but only met on day of wedding, we never had pictures taken we had requested, it was as if someone was interested in the concept of a wedding at hard rock for their portfolio and that was their main priority- pictures released on their web site we tried to print but it can’t be done - so do you know what now I dont even care, suppose to have been sent a USB stick as included in price, no stick arrived - didn’t even want to correspond further as it’s been a nightmare but still no reply - we spent thousands coming over from uk and will just use family pictures. So this is my parting gesture I am entitled free speech and an opinion so shall not remove this second review in hinesight wish I had used another Company, wasted money as don’t have any physical photos so don’t actually know what I paid for. hich you never gave to me and kept telling me you couldn't talk to me cause it was long distance. After emailing you multiple times telling you if we don't have a timeline for the day of and a shot list, I will have to do my best as a professional, which you finally replied telling me you trust me. On the day of your daughter's wedding, you were late by an hour, which set us back, and I tried my best to get what I could with the 4 hours you hired me for, which is not a lot of time when running behind. Your daughter was happy with what I was able to capture with such little time on the day of and was happy then and after. I am not sure why your daughters and I communication was different and positive. In the end, your daughter was delighted, and that's the only thing that matters. We like making our clients happy, and she was. Oh and that stinks about the printing I'm not sure why you are having a hard time printing. You should be able to print with any professional lab after you downloaded your images from your online gallery. Remember, we give you printing rights, so you don't have to write through us since it costs more. But if you read your email I sent you first of the year, it lets you know who you can print through that I can 100% promise is top quality. Check out Nations Photo Lab or Milk Books, which our favorite professional print labs to use all the time. We can always count on for a great product. Also, I emailed you back after you picked your favorite photo's to be edited, asking for your favorite edited photo's that you wanted in your photo video slideshow and Facebook timeline cover, which was included in your package. Once you email me back with your picks, I can send off the USB with everything. I was trying to keep everything together, so you received all at once. I will send another email again so we can get everything taken care of. If you have any questions, you can always call me at 407-346-5729. Can't wait to get this sent off to your daughter! I know she was super happy with her photos, and I can't wait for her to see the photo video slideshow and her Facebook timeline cover!

rocked the photo-booth and everyone loved it. One cool thing with the photo-booth is they actually customize your template to your wedding invite. How freaking cool is that? All our family and friends were blew away with it. It's awesome you get graphic artists on top of it when you hire them. Do you know how much it would cost additional to hire some one to do that? It's a lot of money cause I checked. Oh and the other photo-booth companies do not offer the same service at all. When the other companies say custom it's not custom it's just another template they used for everyone else. I just wish we hired them to actually do our stationary cause they did a better job than the person we hired. We also had our wedding right on church street and even with all the people they made it look like we were the only ones there. Working with clients, I can definitely understand taking a few days in between responses, but a few weeks and over a month just becomes frustrating. Thanks to the internet, finding wedding photography services is

thing lead to another, and in now time they were our big day
photographers. We had hired a friend for an engagement session, so
we could only work the wedding photography with them, but still
their candid shots and natural talent for capturing meaningful

leisure, we knew right from the beginning that our wedding planning

choose, and we almost selected UptownDowntown randomly, and

them after viewing a little excerpt of their work, and we must
recognize that we weren't so collaborative because our schedules

discussing things. We met only once in person, for about 30

I've always been pretty shy, more than regular shy actually, but
wow Heather and Nick (especially Heather) was so comprehensive with
my personality, they even managed to make my sober dress look
dashing and magical, it was almost like a miracle...

because my brother in law recommended them to us after some failed
scouting on the web. Maybe I'm not the smartest person for web
related things, because I never came across their work, but when I
saw their work, I felt really excited (and extremely nervous, I
never thought I was going to look so pretty on the images) with all

I don't know much about photography, so when Heather and her husband Nick began to guide me through the process I could feel the weight being quickly lifted off of me. The images they were able to create really created that sense of immediate nostalgia when we saw them, allowing us to remember in good light what will surely be one of the most important days of the happy couple's life. The pricing was exactly what we needed it to be, giving us the ability to spend the extra funds we saved in other areas. The best part, however, was the reliability factor. I came to them with very little time left before the wedding, and without any issue they jumped on board answering all of my questions whenever I called. It really felt like they were a part of the wedding, and they really wanted it to succeed. It's those intangible factors that really promote trust between a host and a client, and they passed with flying colors. I got in contact with them and we set up a consultation the very next day and we explained our vision for the wedding and our photos. In the consultation they really stressed me to just let go and have my pictures taken, and assured me they would be beautiful. Something just told me they were right, so I went for it and bought a great package. After the big day was all said and done, MY big day came - the day we viewed the pictures. Needless to say, I was speechless! I truly felt that I looked my best in every one. The best thing was that Uptown Downtown Photo, Video, & More offer much more than just a wedding photography. It turned out they also offer several other services that we were interested in: video, wedding stationary, photo-booth and dj. So we trusted them with all these and that was the best decision ever. They guided us through some things that we had not considered or had forgotten and were extremely relaxed and understanding. DJ Kim made sure that all guests are enjoying themselves and Leah did an amazing job in the photo booth.
Last, but not least, we were able to stay within our budget!

First of all, the staff here are ALL very helpful and kind. They make sure you get everything you want and are satisfied with all the details, whether it's the photo booths, or the type of photography to display outside the ceremony, to editing the videos (they made it super cute, comparing my sister to her husband's pictures side to side since they were a kid, and when the first met and finally when they dated and now when they're engaged, it made me tear up really!)
The photographers are all very professional, so all the pictures came out of really good quality, and they made sure to provide us with both hard and soft copies of every single photos, and even offered to send it out to the guest lists, which I thought was very thoughtful of them, since there was a photo booth during the wedding night.
Overall a perfect experience with this company, definitely coming here with my future fiance!

ore I even talk about the photography itself, I was just amazed at the professionalism that Heather and Matthew displayed while working with us. They suggested amazing shots, were very upbeat and helpful and it almost feels as if Heather is just as excited as you are when it comes to your wedding almost like a Bridesmaid/Photographer hybrid, which is why I felt compelled to write a review here, because what we experienced and saw on other reviews vs. what Phallin experienced are complete opposites.
As far as photography goes, before hand we really had no knowledge on what we wanted to do in regards of where we wanted to take engagement pictures, or what type of shots we were looking for but I feel this is really something that Heather does really well. She suggested places that we could go that could produce some really great shots for our engagement pictures and she will literally go the extra mile for a great photo ( I have saw her run up 2 flights of stairs with a full set photo equipment multiple times in ~90 degree weather just so she could get the perfect shot which is impressive in itself). On our wedding day, Heather and Matthew came to the venue early and cleaned up a spot outside that made for some really great shots which is again, something that was not expected but just a testament of how they will go the extra mile to make sure that your day is captured perfectly in pictures. Also during the wedding they were very receptive with our guests and even took pictures with the guests phones when requested along side with taking professional pictures, which is something that I heard is usually not done by professional photographers.
All in all I rarely write reviews; if something is great its great, if its not its not, but you can not go wrong with Heather and Matthew in Uptown Downtown Photography, the Price-to-Service ratio is amazing and more people need to know how much of a asset they will be to your wedding and capturing your special day. I really tried to find some constructive criticism but honestly could not as this is probably the best service that I have had to pay for for this wedding. After it was all said and done,even though we did not know her before this wedding, people that attended the wedding asked us was Heather a family friend that we knew for a long time because of her wonderful attitude and her involvement with our marriage which my wife happily replies with, "No, but she is now."

OWNTOWN Photography responded back to my inquiries. The first time I spoke with Ms. Heather I felt like I got a friend in her--- she knew exactly how stressful a wedding could be. She was prompt when I requested for a quote, and even threw in really good deals to complete a very competitive package!!! She understands that a wedding is such a precious moment and she exceeded my expectations. My engagement shoot was hotter than Florida! Shes that open to creative ideas, not sticking to just whatever is usual, or conventional. On the wedding day, she arrived ahead of time. She fixed me up (I hired her for HMU too) and basically morphed from a photographer to Superwoman that day together with her husband Mr. Nick. Even though it was a small beach ceremony of 25 people, the stress was there and them literally helping with everything beyond photography was such a huge HELP!!!
I got all my digital copies on time and they were like a million pictures LOL. The photos were impeccably edited, with the lighting adjusted and all. Professionally done, indeed.
