the next level of A+. Let me start by saying I'm kind of picky (sister is a stylist, I cannot help it). I also had a really specific vision--vintage glam 1930's wedding. Tina gave me pointers about styles to choose via phone consultation before I even hired her and made me feel really at ease, which made it a super easy decision to hire her team (Verde has experience in stylized shoots, by the way, if you are interested in this kind of thing, like I was). On the day of, let me just say the execution was IMMACULATE. I'm talking the whole get up of vintage glam make up (down to the detail of everyone having red lips) and each person having a unique, stylized updo (victory roles, big glam waves, low pin curls, etc.) ... exactly like I wanted. For my hair, we ran a bit short of time and Tina totally drove me to the venue to finish it. She perfected my look complete with my veil at the end. When I look back at my pictures I just feel so happy - for a bride, this is exactly what you want. And Tina and her team make it such a fun process for the wedding party. (Afterward, I showed my pictures to my stylist in Brooklyn and she was like "These are the coolest wedding updos I've ever seen - this is a really, really good stylist!) I also found Tina's personality (as a stylist) to be very fitting for me. I really wanted honest opinions/advice and someone I could communicate directly with, while telling stories and having fun! Tina helped me decide on which style to do without just flat out agreeing with everything I said (which can happen in the wedding industry ). I decided to do a trial two days before the wedding, which made me a little nervous. But it was super relaxing and we were able to connect and make some decisions after the first styling. Tina was super receptive to what I wanted and adjusted after the style was practiced - she just made it easy for me, which I SO appreciated. Finally, her team was also really on point and professional throughout the entire process of hiring to the day of (for reference, we hired here about 6 months out and I'd recommend snatching a spot even earlier - she does A LOT of weddings so book fast). I would 100% recommend Tina & Verde- Just hire her right now. Easy decision!

ugh to last the day and night, but also still be me. My hair and makeup was exactly what I wanted and Tina was able to do just that. I met with Tina twice before my wedding day and she was always willing to work with my crazy work schedule so that I could have trials and bridal portraits done. Tina and Karen kept everything light and bubbly on the day of and my whole wedding party kept laughing and having fun the whole time. I also have to note how much I enjoyed meeting Tina's dog Lobo. Additionally, she really saved us when she agreed to also touch up my husband's chin (which had been scratched BADLY by his sister's dog days before the wedding), free of charge, which I SO appreciated. You can't see it at all in the pictures. They were both great.

Every single one of my bridesmaids and my mom were happy with their hair and make up the day of the wedding! It was many of their first times having hair and make up done professionally and she did just the right amount so they looked beautiful, natural and the makeup still looked amazing in the photos! I also hired Tina to stay and help while we were taking photos and do touch ups. This was truly the best decision I made! My wedding day was wet and rainy and cold and if I did not have Tina there to do touch-ups my hair would have been all frizzy and messed up due to the crazy weather. Tina was absolutely amazing in helping to fix any fly always and frizz and touch up my make up. She also helped the bridesmaids with touch ups if they needed them! Another thing I want to mention is that Tina is not only a hair and make up artist, she truly is a bride advocate. Throughout the day she checked in on me and made sure I was calm, happy, and enjoying myself. If she could tell something was stressing me she helped to alleviate that stress. I give Tina and her team the absolute highest rating!!! Guests at my wedding who were planning their own weddings even asked who did our hair and makeup and wanted to hire Verde because they did such a great job. wanted to look glamorous for my wedding day. Immediately upon consultation, Tina was infinitely helpful and offered some great advice, considering that I was planning my wedding all by myself. I went ahead and booked them a year and a half in advance, and I didn't even want to consider another vendor. My mind was made up when I set foot inside the studio. I may not be a bride anymore, but I will always be a Verde customer! Even before my wedding, I had already used some of their salon services like microblading, hair cuts, and hair coloring and not once was I ever disappointed. Since I've moved to Baton Rouge in the last four years, I haven't found a hair stylist that I've trusted to cut my hair, until I met Karen. Karen has cut my hair several different times and she also has highlighted my hair when I never had any experience coloring my hair as well as helping me in the process of purchasing extensions for my big day (because I wanted mermaid hair). I also had Sarah for my engagement pictures, bridals, and wedding day hair & make-up, and I was seriously blown away each time. When Sarah did my engagement shoot for make-up and hair, I knew that I wanted her for my wedding day! Also, props to her mad microblading skills too because I had no eyebrows when I met her! My bridesmaids were also very impressed. My Matron of Honor stated that she wish she felt this beautiful on her wedding day after having hair and make-up done. It doesn't matter who you have for your services because you're in great hands either way. Everyone is very helpful and friendly, and every time I come in, I feel like one of the girls. So if you're on the fence, I hope this has convinced you to book Verde whether it be for wedding or salon services.

Because I was so busy working, Tina arranged a phone conference so we could discuss all details prior to ever meeting or even scheduling a trial run. She is so knowledgeable about weddings, timelines/timeliness, relationships/dealing with members of the bridal party and beyond, and attention to detail. On the day of my wedding, she arrived early, set up without any direction needed from me, and had ALL 10 of my bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride, and me ready on time, if not a few minutes early! I was very nervous about this seeing as I did not hire a wedding coordinator. As it turns out, I didn't even need one! Tina had everything under control. She had me prepped and ready, assisted me into my dress, and stayed to make sure all of the pictures at my house beforehand went well. She is so professional, and she is great at staying calm throughout the entire process, putting her bride and bridal party at ease. She truly is a woman of many talents, including her great business skills as an event coordinator, great people/interpersonal skills to manage a bridal party with many varying personalities and preferences, and of course, providing stunning hair and makeup! My hair and makeup lasted all night long. Of course, because of my own nervousness, I brought powder to blot my cheeks and nose between wedding and ceremony, but I didn't even need it, and my curls were fabulous! They looked so great in all of the pictures. I am so very please with how I looked on the day of my wedding- just as I had imagined. I am so glad I chose Tina and her team for my wedding day! I couldn't have done it without them.

Most all my other services done including spray tan were far below subpar. The other staff at the salon treated me more as a inconvenience than an actually paying customer/bride. Most of the time when I came to the salon, it seemed more like a hangout for the owner's friends. If you are going to go there and even if you aren't ask for Sarah!

They were very timely, and worked quickly without sacrificing the quality of the hair or makeup (which is amazing because we had about 12 people getting hair and makeup done!) My hair was gorgeous - perfectly in place and exactly what I wanted AND it stayed all day long on through the late hours of the next morning...my makeup was flawless - it wasn't cakey at all and stayed exactly the same from beginning to end of the day (10+ hours). I will not trust anyone else with my makeup or hair, period.

Verde was not sympathetic to this issue and did not allow me a refund or allow me to use the amount I had paid (half down $500) for other services. I ended up deciding to use them for makeup and hair for a trial run and for bridal pictures. The only other con would be that I was told for bridal pictures that hair and makeup would take 1 hour. I got there early because I wanted to factor extra time in and I had told Tina that I was taking pics in St. Francisville and would have to drive to get to the destination. She went WAYYYYYY over time. I was late to the bridal session and luckily the photographer stayed later to get the full 2 hours. I was very upset about the appointment taking so long.

I wanted very natural, but still great! And all the girls' were perfect! And Karen did everyone hair so perfect! My only complaint was the timing. We were doing first look at 3:30 and putting dresses on around 2:30/2:45. The girls were done and gone by 1:00. This gave us an hour and a half to mess something up or my curls to fall (which the kind of did...my hair is very thick and heavy). I just wish they would have finished closer to picture time.

My wedding was outdoors in June so it was very warm and humid, but everyone's makeup and hair was flawless all day long even after sweating and dancing. Personally, I felt absolutely stunning on my wedding day and the airbrush makeup stayed flawless until I took it off that night. Tina loves brides and all things wedding and she has the professional experience to give you exactly what you want for your wedding. I have absolutely no complaints at all from my experience and would definitely recommend Verde Beauty Studio to anyone.
