e informed me that they were having a trunk show for that designer in February, and then proceeded to tell me that she would not book me an appointment to come to that trunk show because my wedding is pottentially too soon and she was only booking "serious brides" (6.5 months out from February, with our potential date being the end of August/early September). When I asked for the date of the trunk show she would not give it to me, and instead gave me the date of another designer.
I was so upset by her comment - only booking serious brides - that I cried. My fiance saw me after and asked about what happened. When I told him, he called and the woman who answered the phone then stated that she was the one who spoke with me, and she remembered the conversation.... when he asked to speak with the manager she told him she was the person in charge that evening. He asked if she was the manager or owner, she stated the manager wasn't there for the night and she was it. He stated that he wanted to have the manager call him back, she laughingly harumphed into the phone and then hung up on him without asking for his information. I know exactly what she did because we were in the car and together and she was on the in-car bluetooth. A little while later the store called him back - he did not pick up.
I called the store today and asked for the owner or manager this morning. The owner called me back just a few minutes ago and stated that she, not the woman my fiance spoke to and claimed to have spoken with me, was the one who I talked with. I told her that I wanted to talk about a very negative customer service experience I recieved over the phone, and she proceeded to tell me that I was lying about everything. That she never told me they were "only booking serious brides" and that her employee never hung up on Justun. She said I was lying about not being given the date of my desired designer's trunk show.... she raised her voice, I raised mine and said this was BS and the worst customer service expereince of my life. NO BRIDE SHOULD CRY because of dress store owner/manager/employee telling them they wouldn't schedule them because the person on the other end of the phone did not consider them to be a "serious bride." I had the designer, dress style, and everything in the type of dress I'm looking for all laid out. Worst expereince ever - I would discourage any and all who may look for wedding dresses (bridal, bridal party, MOB) or any other formal wear to avoid the same bad experience I had and never shop at Vivid Bridal in Woodbridge, VA.
