It seems like there is a lot for their staff to handle, however, they always allowed us to come view the Altitude space anytime I was in town (I live in Los Angeles) which was awesome of them and they were pretty lax in quite a lot of things. My fiancé actually proposed to me up in this space for personal reasons and they provided champagne toast and I really don't think he paid for it because we were already planning on getting married here. Elvira was our event manager for the majority for the time and she was hard to reach toward the end of the planning, but she was awesome. I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND HIRING A WEDDING PLANNER on your own to help with communication with the venue. It was a FREAKING LIFE SAVER. It was a bit frustrating at the end but our wedding planner kept me sane. I will say, the space is gorgeous. We didn't use linens (because I hate them) and the tables were great. The chairs are great and basically everything is provided with the venue and the food was SO AMAZING. We got so many compliments from our guests the night of on the steak and the salmon. We had passed appetizers and although my hubby and I didn't get them (we were taking pics) people loved them. We also had our ceremony on the balcony which held 85 guests total. It was just big enough yet a bit tight but the view was unbelievable. It rained on our wedding day and we didn't really get wet up there because of the covered balcony. It was a gloomy downtown wonderland. In conclusion, the venue planning process wasn't perfect, but it was so worth it for the venue, free honeymoon suite the night of the wedding, and for the monochromatic memories.

We never received a call back and the director of events was horrible to deal with. She was never available since there was such a high turnover for the wedding coordinator position. If you want your wedding coordinator to call you back and not change your contact DO NOT PLAN YOUR WEDDING HERE. Worse experience of my life! I regret having my wedding at the W.

was perfect for ceremony and the Foyer was the best area for cocktail reception. If you haven't seen Altitude (33rd floor of hotel) you MUST! It is the most breathtaking view of downtown Dallas in the metrolpex. We could not be more thrilled and our guests LOVED it!! 10 stars from us for sure!!

The took care of all of the guest gifts, making sure that as soon as a guest arrived the gift was taken to their room. As far as the detail of the venue and getting everything prepared they took care of EVERYTHING I did not even see the venue until I was introduced. They made my vision come to life. Dinner at the reception was amazing, just as it tasted in the tasting (the quality of the food was not effected due to preparing a meal for 200). During the reception I did not once have to worry about gifts, they were all taken to the room. I would not have changed anything. It was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend a wedding reception at the W Hotel Dallas!
