W Hotel Union Square, Lora GreenReviewed on 8/08/2014 Lauren F
We had our wedding reception at the W Hotel Union Square in June of 2014. Several of our friends keep saying that it was "the best wedding that they ever went to" and they're not 'just saying' that. ;) The W Hotel grand ballroom was originally an old bank. There are high coffered ceilings that are painted blue and gold, marble columns and huge windows. It is absolutely picturesque. In addition to the gorgeous venue, the service is also impeccable. We worked directly with Lora Green from start to finish. Lora met with us at least half a dozen times throughout our planning and was always available via email. She cared about the details of our wedding just as much as we did. In the end it felt like the level of care and attention to detail she gave us was that of an old friend who happened to be planning our wedding, her service was that polished and personable. I feel so lucky not only that we were able to have our wedding at our dream venue, but also that we were able to have someone like Lora guide us along the way to make the entire process celebratory, not just the wedding day. Thank you W Union Square and Lora Green for our absolute dream wedding.
Lora Green Is The Best!Reviewed on 7/12/2014 Daniel D
I am hear to speak of Lora Green, who I have worked with in a number of capacities over a number of venues, including this one. Lora is a extraordinarily talented event planner and manager. Her youthful appearance and energetic aura can easily make one forget the vast array of information and experience she has attained throughout her many years in the industry. I own an entertainment company and have worked with her on a number of occasions. I can honestly say she is one of the best I have come across. Professional in both aesthetic and action; her pool of clients, vendors, and resources exceeds that of many well beyond her years. Finely balanced in both word and action, she has the ability to command a peak performance from all involved in a manner that inspires the best in people without friction or frown. Her clients always come first. I cannot remember a time those relying on her for their special day weren't at ease with her demeanor and performance. I cannot think of an evening where she did not give her all. Lora is intelligent, loyal, honest, respectful, competent, selfless, and reliable. In an industry where many allow ego to overcome earnestness, Lora is a rare breed that always backs her words with action. There are few I openly endorse, and none I do so for more wholeheartedly than Lora. Making her part of your team is something I would not only recommend, it is something I have done on many occasions and hope to do countlessly into the future.
A Classic and Classy EventReviewed on 12/09/2011 Carrie G
The W Hotel Union Square was everything it was billed to be. The room is a site that changes from an intimate ceremony to a seductive and sexy reception. In between guests move to a great cocktail room with twinkle lights. And the FOOD! Olives by Todd English, need I say more. From the passed apps to the plated meal, to the wedding cake by Ron Ben-Israel, that is included.
