Walking Tall Music Inc., by Jim Teller, is a wedding music service in Chesterfield, MI.
Music has always been a significant part of my life. My late grandfather played classic Country and Folk music and got me started on the guitar. My mom always had a radio on in the house, so between that and MTV, I soaked up a ton of Classic Rock and 80's. My high school years brought hair bands and then Alternative Rock. The point being... I know a LOT of music! Even better... I've learned how to apply it. What I can offer you on your special day is this: I have pulled the hits from all of those eras and genres, and I can perform them using a combination of acoustic and electric guitar, with (and sometimes without) backing tracks, to give you and your audience a full band sound. I can lean more toward the genres you prefer, and... here's the cool part... I'm also a DJ, so I can mix and match live music with DJ dance party music, giving you the best of both worlds. I can also provide the audio for your ceremony if that is something you are looking for, and I'm available for rehearsal dinner after-parties and pre-wedding parties as well. I take sound quality very seriously, and I use only the best professional gear. If you want EVERYONE... young and old... to enjoy the music at your wedding, then I am your guy. I am new to The Knot as of January 2026, but I have played several weddings and hundreds of public and private gigs over the years, and I am well-positioned to apply my experience to make your big day memorable for all. My only goal is to put smiles on faces, and I am ready to do just that for you and yours!

I am a husband, father of three boys, a retired youth baseball coach, and an active solo musician. I play all sorts of public and private events from tailgates and back yard parties to New Years Eve celebrations and yes... weddings! I cover all of the main genres... Country, Classic Rock, and Alternative Rock, with some others sprinkled in. I offer a hybrid service... a mix of live acoustic and electric guitar driven Country, Classic Rock, and Alternative, with DJ dance party music, on demand. The wide variety of music I can play and sing live, with the DJ mix in addition to that, is a what separates me from the rest... Not to mention that I take great pride in the quality of my sound and my equipment. My business is rather new, but my experience in music and entertainment goes back a few decades. I am very excited for the opportunity to bring my experience, and my passion for music to you and your families on your special day!
