Callahan's Mountain Lodge is a historic family-owned wedding venue in Ashland, OR. The Mountain Lodge is part of a rich Oregon tradition of family-owned and operated businesses. Callahan always dreamed of working and residing in the Siskiyou Mountains. After serving in World War II, he chiseled out a building site from the solid rock of the hillside. On March 23, 1947, Callahan's Café opened its doors for business. Eighteen years later, the venue had expanded and evolved into a ski lodge, reminiscent of how it looks today. In September 2020, Mark and Lisa Cleaner became just the third owners of Callahan's Mountain Lodge. The Cleaners wanted to honor the historical legacy of the location while welcoming engaged couples to celebrate their wedding day. The venue is ideal for weddings as the indoor lodge can easily accommodate a 200-person wedding party. The beautiful outdoor lawn suits up to 250 guests and features incredible panoramic mountainside views, highlighted by the babbling waterfall nearby. Applegate Ranch, formerly known as Summer House, in Grants Pass, OR is a stunning space for couples to say “I do”. Located at the head of the Applegate Wine Trail, this picturesque venue is the perfect backdrop for a magical wedding. To-be weds can enjoy getting ready in a spacious and newly remodeled suite. Each suite has a private dressing area, bar for refreshments, and lounge area. The weather needn’t be a worry since the Ranch offers both indoor and outdoor spaces. The 63-acre ranch is surrounded by trees, pastures, and woodlands, with space for up to 150 guests. This makes for a truly intimate atmosphere that translates well for the ceremony and when it is time for photos. If you’d prefer, a contemporary gazebo or a decorative arch alongside a tranquil pond is also available for the ceremony. Afterwards, you can celebrate the night away with dinner in a rustic hall and drinks on the spacious patio. Let the resident wedding planner research, manage, and take care of the details while you enjoy and be in the moment. There is no need to rent tables and chairs, for example. We have multiple spaces to host your special day: - The Great Hall is our large indoor barn-style space that has high vaulted ceilings and smooth wood floors (that make a great dance floor). It is climate-controlled (heat, a/c, smoky air filtered), so you can host your wedding rain or shine. It fits up to 200 guests and connects to the outdoors with our 16ft floor-to-ceiling glass garage door. The Great Hall features changing rooms, a small prep kitchen, and indoor, handicap-accessible restrooms. - The Lee Price Pavillion is our large covered patio adjacent to the Great Hall. Dappled with string lights for when the sunsets, this area is used for receptions and ceremonies alike. - The Wedding Garden is the perfect space to host your ceremony. The site has three grassed tiers for chairs with a beautiful backdrop of dappled trees, a serene pond, and mountains popping out of the horizon. - The Pond House is the residence on our property. It has four bedrooms, a full kitchen, multiple living rooms, and 3.5 baths. It sleeps 16 guests comfortably and is included in our Applegate Package. Due to its 100ft wraparound patio and expansive front yard overlooking the pond, the Pond House is often used for intimate weddings under 50 guests.
