The good: Lydia is very kind and responds quickly. All the vendors I received from her were wonderful. She also allowed us to use some of her decor for the ceremony.
The not so great: I hired a wedding planner to help me with the actual plann...ing of the ceremony. Throughout the time leading up to my wedding unless I specifically asked for help or a question no guidance was ever offered. Throughout the entire experience I had to constantly repeat information which caused stress because I wasn't sure that anything would be remembered for my day. For the first few months every call we went over the same questions. Most of which I originally submitted in a document for her reference when I signed the contract. While I recognize the need to occasionally verify, every time (except for the last week before the wedding) it seemed to be the first time she was hearing the information. This continued when I filled out information about my bridal party (the PDF came with a previous bride and groom's name on it), mailed it to her, and a month later she sent the same document to my mother (with still the other bride and groom's name) asking her to re-send the information. If a call is scheduled you should proactively pull a clients information for reference. It was all very disorganized.
Leading up to the wedding she went to the venue three times to review the layout. She sent me the layout and I replied with my seating chart accordingly. When I went to the reception venue. before the ceremony I found that it was incorrect. My bridal party was at random tables in the back, friend tables got an upgrade to the front, and some tables that she sent as 12 tops on the layout only had 8 chairs. Fortunately, the bartender stepped up and re-arranged it for us while we went to the ceremony. When confronted she blamed the venue however the venue stated multiple times in emails that they would not adjust the layout, it was up to the customer. Regardless, I felt this was important enough and easy to verify at a minimum that there were enough chairs for the number of guests that were supposed to be seated there. Overall I was disappointed with the service I received as it caused more stress than it took away.
