I gave this venue 4 stars because I do believe it was the best venue for our day. It is beautiful, very well maintained, and a lovely "package deal". I do understand that in retrospect it is easier to remember things that may not have gone well..., but I do want to stress that we still had a wonderful event here-there is just definite room for improvement with a few specific things.
Pros --
The outdoor spaces hooked me here, along with the spacious bridal house and beautifully done indoor ceremony space and reception hall. The layout of the entire premises was impressive and the details they have thought of to make things flow smoothly were impressive. They provide linens, a police officer, and bartender which made the planning even easier than anticipated-as did their vendor recommendations.
Areas for improvement --
While we were constantly told to contact them with any questions or concerns, given their phone numbers, etc., there were many times where responses took several days (not the standard 48 hours they advertise) and/or information was incomplete when given. The actual wedding day also didn't go quite as smoothly as we had wanted in a couple of areas. The steamer that they advertise as being available was nowhere to be found, and while they eventually came with another one, there was so little time left to get my dress/veil in order that I ended up not able to wear my veil due to the chaos and timing. Two weeks after my wedding, I was contacted saying that "the steamer went missing after my wedding" and could I please check with my family/wedding party to see if they had it. Having, at this point, to communicate that I had been the one to point out it was missing in the first place was just frustrating. The night of the wedding, the event coordinator pulled my husband and I aside and spoke to us about giving a review, even stating specific areas that we should mention we liked, which felt strange and ill-timed. After we left, she asked my aunt (not involved in the wedding at all) to sign off on the fact that we were done cleaning even though she told her more than once that my mom was the one coordinating everything. She repeatedly asked if we were done when they still had more than 30 minutes left to clean and it stressed my family out to the point that things were too hastily removed/packed which led to unfortunate things like the top tier of our cake being ruined, which was really disappointing for us to hear later.
