About this vendor
In 1936, Rufus Yoder started growing popcorn on his family farm. In the Amish custom, he shared his excess crop with his neighbors and friends. They told their friends and neighbors about the excellent quality of Yoder Popcorn, and soon a business was born. After Rufus retired, his children continued to market Yoder Popcorn. After briefly leaving the family in 1996, the business was purchased back in 1999 by Rufus' great niece Sharon, along with her husband Richard and their oldest son Russell and his wife Allyse.
Besides operating the Popcorn Shoppe, we also farm 1,700 acres which includes the acreage around the Shoppe. We continue to provide the Yoder customers with the same excellent quality and service to which they are accustomed.

My husband & I got married in December of 2017. When thinking of a wedding favor, we wanted it to be something special that meant something to us that we could share with our family & friends. My husband's family is from the Shipshewana area, and my now mother-in-law would always bring home the delicious tri-mix popcorn from Yoder's! It was the best popcorn I had ever eaten, and I found myself hiding it rather than sharing it with anyone. Lol! I asked my mother-in-law if she could check with them to see if wedding favors were something they did. At the time, it was new to them but they were accommodating and so happy to help with our special day! They worked with us on a size that would work best for our guests. It was important to us that the favors included where they came from, so they even cut their stickers that they typically use to make them fit the smaller bags that they used for us. We were very pleased with how the favors turned out!! Not only was the popcorn delicious, but it was also a special way to share something that we love with all of our guests.
