The groom's mother served as the officiant at the backyard ceremony. Our ceremony sermon was so personal, endearing and real. It was truly about us as individuals and as a couple, says Krissy.
Textured bunches of white flowers sat on top of colorful, custom table runners.
The groom's favorite treat, cream cheese danish filled with a variety of different fruits, were on the menu at the reception.
Guess played bingo at the reception, and the newlyweds handed out fun prizes like whiskey, footballs and super soakers!
The day's color palette centered around Krissy's bouquet of peonies, roses, succulents and pincushion protea.
The flower girls wore gray and pink, and carried flowers that matched the bridesmaid bouquets.
The couple had their invitations custom created based on their color palette of pink, gray and teal.
Fragrant white lilacs, button mums, wax flowers and other blooms were simple yet elegant additions to the bridesmaid bouquets.
Guests of all ages enjoyed playing bingo during the reception, a twist on typical wedding entertainment.
Fresh herbs and blooms like wax flowers, button mums and tulips were placed in Mason jars for a simple, yet colorful look.
Mickey wore a unique boutonniere that paired a pincushion protea with a small succulent and zinnia.
Krissy wanted her gown to be classic, retro and simple. “I photographed a bride wearing a Tara LaTour gown and liked how unique it was,” she says. “I contacted the designer, went to her studio, tried on the Diana dress and immediately loved it. And it had pockets!”
The couple to a spin to You Send Me, by Sam Cooke for their first dance.
Krissy found her gorgeous, embellished white pumps at DSW!
