A Beach-Themed Island Wedding at a Private Residence in Oahu, Hawaii

This island wedding took place steps from the waterfront at a family member's residence in Oahu, Hawaii, which Veronica Vasquez (27 and a hair stylist) and Tim Beisner (28 and an AT&T technician) used as inspiration for their beach theme. "Located right on the beach with a huge yard, the peaceful property never really got crowded," Veronica says. "We knew right away that getting married at Tim's family's beach house would be special for us and our guests." Using a tropical palette of coral and teal with accents of gold, Veronica and Tim brought their beach-themed nuptials to life—from the peony, rose and lily flower arrangements to the wedding party's coral dresses and teal ties. The day began on the sandy shores, where Veronica and Tim shared their first kiss at the bamboo arch draped in linens, captured on camera by Creatrix Photography. The party then moved to the tented reception on the property, where dining tables embodied the beachy feel through glass vases filled with sand and seashells. The Perfect Wedding DJs played traditional Hawaiian music while guests enjoyed their a luau-style dinner of kalua pork, but we felt that Veronica and Tim truly saved the best for last with their cake. Seashells and pearls decorated the five-tier teal masterpiece with coral reef designs, filled with pineapple and coconut to represent the day's style, theme and colors.
