Lisa got more than she bargained for when Eric, her boyfriend of five years, surprised her with an iPod. The gift wasn’t a total shock -- Lisa had been asking for an iPod for weeks -- but she was thrown off by a note that said, “Play me.” Eric looked on as Lisa put on the earphones and started watching the video he had made. The Bride Lisa Coletta, 27, in marketing The Groom Eric Webster, 29, technology manager The Date May 16 It started with Eric holding up a bunch of messages to the camera, ending with a sign that said, “Will you marry me?” When the video finished, Lisa looked up to see Eric down on one knee, holding a ring. After she said yes, Lisa shared the video with her family. The two then went on to throw a modern beach wedding with a blue, lime, and pink color palette.

Reception Photobooth
A gelato bar let guests sample flavors like chocolate-mint and strawberry. The setup added to the whimsical reception vibe.
Low arrangements of the same blooms used in the bride’s bouquet topped tables. Green numbers framed by the couple’s signature swirl design amped up the display.
What’s a beach wedding without a boardwalk photo op? Lisa and Eric showed off their playful sides -- and got a great shot for their album -- by braving the Super Slide!
White Wedding Boutonniere
Lisa’s designer friend helped with the programs. Inside, the couple listed local activities so guests knew where to kill time between the ceremony and the reception.
Beachy Wedding Party
Lisa glued cards with a swirl design (Eric made it with Photoshop!) to jewelry boxes with starfish bottle stoppers. They doubled as favors.
Like her bridesmaids, Lisa held a mix of freesia and peonies, but hydrangeas made her bouquet stand out.
