A Black-and-White Wedding at the Ritz-Carlton, Naples in Naples, Florida

From the light-up centerpieces to the diamond-accented wedding shoes, Lauren Dickey (28 and in sales) and Chris Slevin’s (29 and in finance) black and white wedding was filled with eye-catching details. “I wanted our wedding to be timeless,” Lauren says. “I wanted to be able to look back at pictures of our wedding and still like what I had chosen.” Tonya Malay Photography captured every moment as the couple started their day with a ceremony in the Ritz-Carlton, Naples’s courtyard and ended the night with a festive indoor reception. Lauren and Chris’s venue also helped to design their florals. Two whimsical arrangements of curly willow tips, white calla lilies and white accents were set in tall glass vases on either side of the ceremony aisle. White flower petals covered the base. Inside, amber uplighting surrounded similar arrangements in trumpet vases as each centerpiece was lit up from the center. Another standout detail was the couple’s wedding cake. The venue’s pastry chef accented their intricate centerpieces and silver decor with a simple square, four-tier confection. The third tier was wrapped with a rhinestone trim as well as accented with two white peonies and crystals for a fun touch that complemented the bridal party’s all-white bouquets. “We really wanted our guests to feel as if they were on a vacation,” Lauren says. The couple filled their night with live music by the Derek Trenholm Band from Talent and Entertainment Productions, including a few songs by Frank Sinatra, before guests left with chocolate wedding favors from Norman Love Confections.
