A Blue and White Wedding at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Florida

Ashley Wallace (33) and Phil Schneider (34) knew they wanted a beach-chic wedding and went all-out with a matching royal blue and white color scheme.

Ashley Wallace (33) and Phil Schneider (34) knew they wanted a beach-chic wedding and went all-out with a matching royal blue and white color scheme. The sea-inspired stationery, bold bridesmaid dresses and lush arrangements brought the day to new heights. Ashley and Phil first got their guests ready for the waterfront celebration with a sea coral-studded invitation suite. Natural, coral-inspired designs lined every card for a whimsical touch. Their ceremony took things a bit further. Each bridesmaid entered the service in an eye-catching royal blue dress. The white ceremony decor made them stand out even more in contrast. The pros at Atmospheres Floral and Decor and the Dtales made sure their florals were just as vibrant. Almost every arrangement from the bridal party bouquets to the centerpieces included classic white lilies or hydrangeas and bold blue orchids. Each bloom showed off the couple’s inspiration and wow-worthy taste. See every detail from their double-take-worthy celebration shot by Sara Purdy Photography, below.

Using the beach as their inspiration, the couple sent all their 110 guests a sea-worthy invitation suite. Black or blue sea coral decorated every card alongside corresponding colored script. The couple even had a matching blue coral-inspired liner on their envelope.
Building on their beach-chic inspiration, Ashley and Phil chose formal looks for their wedding party following a classic black and vibrant blue color scheme. Their bridesmaids rocked the hue with floor-length chiffon dresses and personalized necklines. Each groomsman stood beside them (one barefoot!) in a black-and-white tuxedo. Their boutonnieres showed off a hint of color with blue orchids and white calla lilies in a coral wrap.
Ashley and Phil loved the idea of a beach-chic wedding. So they took advantage of the Hammock Beach Resort’s waterfront ceremony space in Palm Coast, Florida, and highlighted the entire setting with white and orange decor. Orange and white flower petals lined rows of white folding chairs toward the beach. A chalkboard wedding program also marked the front. “The chalkboard sign was very special,” Ashley says. “It will hang in our new house this fall.”
Their aisle decor definitely caught our attention. Channeling the Hammock Beach Resort’s ocean view with a nautical touch, they lined the ceremony with bold white lanterns on shepherd’s hooks. Sand and seashells filled each one alongside a large white candle.
“We knew we wanted an outdoor venue overlooking the ocean, and this provided the perfect setting,” Ashley says. Their planner from the Dtales helped decorate Ashley and Phil’s ceremony at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Florida, with all beach-inspired decor. Lanterns filled with sand and seashells marked the waterfront aisle while pink and orange flower petals filled the space below. The rows of white folding chairs and matching wedding arch also helped highlight their natural setting.
Their wedding arch matched Ashley’s bouquet with bunches of colorful blooms. Atmospheres Floral and Decor paired the top of each fabric-draped post with white orchids, coral roses, white calla lilies and eucalyptus. Stems of blue and purple orchids also popped from within the arrangement, creating a dramatic contrast.
Guests surrounded the couple with cheers and applause as they started their recessional. Phil looked nothing short of dapper beside Ashley in a formal navy and black tuxedo. His boutonniere added some color against the black-and-white accessories. Atmospheres Floral and Decor designed it with a bright blue orchid and white calla lily, matching Ashley’s cascading bouquet.
Wanting a sophisticated twist on their bold wedding decor, Ashley opted for natural wedding day makeup. She wore a subtle, light-pink lip and dark liner to accentuate her brown eyes. Her accessories also brought out Ashley’s love for bling, with gold art deco-inspired drop earrings and a matching gold bracelet.
Ashley knew she wanted a cascading bouquet that mirrored the look of stargazer lilies. With some help from the pros at Atmospheres Floral and Decor, she carried just that. Her lush arrangement overflowed with white asiatic lilies, coral ranunculus and bright blue orchids. Her bridesmaids held similar looks with white white calla lilies and blue orchids inside a coral wrap.
Each place card brought out the couple’s beach-inspired theme with a personal twist. Set above containers of sand and seashells, guests found their names pined to a metal frame and surrounded by a blue sea-coral border. The table numbers all referred to places Ashley and Phil have visited together. “Traveling together is a major part of our lives that we love to partake in,” Ashley says.
Their centerpieces brought out the couple’s wedding colors with a chic design. Coral rose petals and white candles filled silver and gold lanterns for a fun contrast. Florists from Atmospheres Floral and Decor topped each one with a lush display of blue sea holly, coral tulips, peach roses, white hydrangeas and peach hypericum berries.
At first, a naked cake was far from Ashley and Phil’s minds, but they loved how it came out. With some help from the bakers at Publix, they served a four-tier confection covered in raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries between layers of white buttercream frosting. Complete with a rhinestone “S” topper and gold sequin tablecloth, they let the dessert serve as a focal point for their reception.
“The music choices were very specific, since we both love to dance and have many favorite songs,” Ashley says. Ashley and Phil’s first song was an ideal reflection of them as a couple. Their DJ from Al Dee Productions set the tone and played a sweet song as they swayed around the wooden floor. Afterward, their guests took the floor and continued to celebrate until the last hit of the night: “Shut Up and Dance” by Walk the Moon.
