Since Lindsey Ridgway (31 and an actress) and George Ruiz’s (40 and in advertising sales) relationship has more than a few  memories by the ocean—including their engagement—it was only fitting they start their married life on the beach. “The ocean has always been our favorite place,” Lindsey says. “It was no question that we wanted to have our wedding near the sea.” They chose 'Tween Waters Inn Island Resort as their venue and covered the space with nautical- and beach-inspired decor. Everything from their gold compass wedding favors (Lindsey’s favorite detail) to the coral-inspired cake topper and seashell table names brought in the themes. Their palette also had a personal spin. Instead of navy and white, they opted for a softer blush, peach ivory and gold to complement her favorite flower: pink astilbes. For Lindsey and George, however, the most important part was the 80 people who celebrated with them. “Since our guest list wasn't too big, the wedding felt very intimate and we got to spend time with everyone,” Lindsey says. “We truly had the most magical day and we can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together.” See every part of their day, beautifully captured by Creative Imaginations Photography, below.

“The ocean has always been our favorite place. We grew to have many special moments together on the beach, including our engagement,” Lindsey says. “It was no question that we wanted to have our wedding near the sea.” The ocean was the focal point of their ceremony. They decorated the sand with only white folding chairs, a classic white runner and a few lush arrangements along the entrance. Each one was filled with blush peonies, green hydrangeas, white delphiniums, pink astilbes, white garden roses and pink roses.
“One flower I fell in love with early on was peach-colored astilbe, which established peach and blush as colors,” Lindsey says. Her bouquet from Libby's Flowers was filled with white and pink astilbe, blush garden roses, white hydrangeas, white ranunculus, pink roses, dusty miller and succulents for some extra texture.
Of course, no beach wedding is complete without a few seashells. Starfish and conch shells were present in a few parts of their stationery, including a sweet sign for guests to dust the sand off their feet from the beach ceremony at at 'Tween Waters Inn Island Resort in Captiva Island, Florida.
Lindsey wasn’t the only one who wanted to wear pink. George picked out a slim-fit heather Hugo Boss gray suit with a striped pink tie and white shirt.

Even the favors were nautical! Guests took home these gold mini compasses as their wedding favors. They were Lindsey’s favorite detail and had a sweet ivory thank you notes tied to them.
Wanting to accent the ‘Tween Waters Inn Island Resort’s bright buildings with a softer palette, Lindsey and George decorated their reception with gold chiavari chairs, white linens and lush low centerpieces. Each arrangement had a soft display of blush, white and green flowers.
“From the start I had a vision in my head of a whimsical, ethereal and vintage feel mixed with nautical elements,” says Lindsey. Every table was set to this notion with a low arrangement of succulents, pink and white delphiniums, dusty miller and pink astilbe inside a silver vase wrapped in rope. Wanting to take the nautical theme a step further, they also had table numbers made of knotted rope and chic seashell-inspired table names.
Of course, their wedding cake also tied in the nautical theme. LadyCakes covered its two lemon tiers in buttercream frosting and topped the confection with two white coral accents. Guests who had a taste for a different sweet were also treated to mini key lime tarts, a Boston Red Sox groom’s cake and more mini desserts.

While their entire wedding was covered with soft shades of blush, ivory and gold, Lindsey and George went with something a little more bold for dessert. They picked out a groom's cake shaped like the Boston Red Socks' signature caps from LadyCakes.
