Meg Miller 22 (and a connections assistant) and Matt McKinney (30 and a worship pastor) met at Connection Church and became good friends while leading Sunday worship together. After Matt accepted a new job, he moved a few hours away and invited Meg to visit for a home-cooked, cabin dinner but a different surprise awaited. "Because it was a rainy afternoon, I was surprised when Matt asked me to step outside on the back porch," says Meg. "A bouquet of flowers was on a table with a card that read 'Turn Around...' and as I did, I saw Matt down on one knee, holding an antique sapphire ring that had belonged to his great, great grandmother." The couple exchanged vows at Meg's parents' house under an arbor made by her uncle and father with pews that belonged to her great grandmother's church for seating. The ceremony took place in the front yard with a pond as their backdrop, and the reception tent was set up on the side yard with the patio utilized for the dance floor. To enhance their eclectic, bohemian theme, the bridesmaids didn't wear shoes—only fresh flower anklets and the bride stunned in an organic flower crown. The couple used Meg's great grandmother's dining room table as their sweetheart table as well as a lace tablecloth she had crocheted. "We wanted our wedding to be much like us—personal, laid back, uniquely elegant, but with a causal-meets-bohemian feel," says Meg. "We both love coffee houses so we had a coffee bar at our wedding and we continued that theme throughout the reception."

"We used white and blush pink in the ceremony area, as well as fresh greenery because I wanted a simple, organic feel to the setting," says Meg.
