A Bohemian, DIY Wedding at Events at 2640 in Baltimore, Maryland
Katherine Thomas (33 and co-owner of Milk & Ice Vintage) and Alex Schultz (28 and a graphic designer) met through a mutual friend. When Alex followed up to ask Kate out, she said no, joking that she was old enough to be his grandmother. He wittily responded, "That's okay, I'll help you cross the street," and Kate couldn't refuse him any longer. As the proprietor of a vintage shop and her significant other, it was only fitting that Kate and Alex be married at Events by 2640, a charming old church with stained glass and peeling paint that is part of the Red Emma's cooperative in Baltimore, Maryland. Their bohemian styled wedding was full of gorgeous DIY touches. The venue, which features a cathedral ceiling, was illuminated with lanterns strung from its arches and string lights around its pillars. The long tables at the reception were decorated with an assortment of colored vases filled with pink and red daisies in addition to several antique trays. As favors, Kate and Alex invited their guests to choose from a variety of eclectic salt and pepper shakers, which made for fun custom gifts. Kate looked amazing on her wedding day in an A-line wedding dress from J. Crew and antique turquoise jewelry. She carried a bouquet of baby's breath and wore baby's breath in her fishtail braid. Kate and Alex's gorgeous wedding was full of fun details.
