A Bohemian, Mountainside Wedding at Kokanee Creek Guest Haus in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada

Justine Schoeber (25 and a server) had decided to take things into her own hands when she proposed to Sylvan Howells (30 and a carpenter). At a concert of a musician they both love, during their favorite song, she passed Sylvan her cell phone which had a note telling him how she wanted to marry him and presented him with a tungsten ring. "It was a magical moment," Justine says. Their stylish, bohemian wedding took place at Kokanee Creek Guest Haus in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada. With a color palette of burgundy, pink and gold, Justine and Sylvan's decor was eclectic with vintage and DIY components. Justine and Sylvan were married under a wooden pergola made by the groom himself. At the tented reception, mix-and-match antique gold pieces decorated the burgundy lined tables alongside flower arrangements of peonies and roses that were made by Justine's friend. The wedding cake was also made by a family friend while the artisanal lollipop favors were bought from Etsy. Justine even made her wedding dress by herself, which looked simply stunning on her. "It doesn't take a lot of money to have a beautiful wedding, just a lot of time, effort and help from family and friends," Justine says. "At the end of the day, you feel so proud of the work that you all have done to make it one of the most spectacular days of your life."
