A Bohemian Vineyard Wedding at the Sittella Winery in Herne Hill, Australia

Not long after catching the bouquet at a friend's wedding, Lucy (23 and a radiographer) was in for the surprise of her life when her longtime boyfriend, Ryan (25 and an engineering student) organized a "date day" after her birthday. "It started with coffee from my favorite cafe, then we browsed some boutiques and just enjoyed each other's company," Lucy says. "After a beautiful, spontaneous dinner, we watched the sunset at Cottesloe beach, where Ryan asked me to be his wife. He then took me to the ballet, which has since become my favorite yearly tradition." For their bohemian April wedding, the couple knew they wanted to exchange vows at their local church, since it felt the space felt like home. Afterwards, they celebrated with 100 guests captured by Izo Photography at the Sittella Winery in the heart of the Swan Valley. "We both loved the sweeping verandas and deck area -- it had a beautiful, country-like feel," Lucy explains. The couple stuck with a navy and floral color scheme for their special day while incorporating natural textures and handmade touches throughout the reception space. The groom's father transformed old wooden palettes into flower boxes, while the bride's cousin flew in from Singapore to help create the peony and tuberose flower arrangements. "We did a lot of the styling and DIY ourselves with the help of family," Lucy says. "We love relaxed dining and being surrounded by family and friends, plus we love to make and create, so naturally everything had our handmade stamp on it."
