A DIY Bohemian Wedding at A Private Residence in Greenville, Missouri

Katelin Gan (25 and a makeup artist) and Justin Hollenkamp (29 and a photographer) met through mutual friends. Six years later, Justin proposed while they were home for Christmas. Katelin and Justin were inspired by the rustic, vintage feel of the family’s property that had an old barn, a little pond with a waterfall and lots of trees and flowers. They incorporated as many vintage and DIY details as possible. Katelin wore her mother’s wedding dress from the ‘80s, which her brother altered for her. The reception was decorated with more than 400 mason jars that were found in Katelin’s grandmother’s basement. The menu was written on a window also from Katelin’s grandmother’s house. Since Katelin and Justin already had lived together for about five years, they asked guests to bring a bottle of wine to the wedding shower, which they served at the reception as a huge money saver. Katelin’s aunt made the rustic exposed wedding cake. Justin made enough wooden tealight candle holders for all 150 guests. And, to top it off, guests camped over after the reception and Katelin and Justin slept in a teepee from Justin’s mother. But, the best part was the menu: Fried chicken, pulled pork and fruit pies.
