A Boho, Mid-Century Modern Wedding at Moorten Botanical Garden in Palm Springs, California

Inspired by a road trip they took together from Los Angeles to Vegas and through Death Valley, Savannah Miller and Zach Kolodziejski planned a mid-century modern fete with a laid-back bohemian feel in Palm Springs. The pair kept things low-key with a guest list of only 20 closest family members and friends. Playing up the venue’s retro edge, Savannah and Zach filled the day with lush green plants, clean lines and modern design motifs. “My mom is an amazing seamstress and made all of the table linens—beaded trim and all—napkins and napkin rings,” Savannah says. Zach’s sleek blue suit and Savannah’s lace column gown and blue velvet heels also paid tribute to the event’s aesthetic. Instead of sharing their vows for the first time during the ceremony, the couple sat down with their close friend and officiant to read them to each other. “We laughed, we cried, we surprised each other and we were genuine,” Savannah says. Once the weekend’s festivities came to a close, the newlyweds hopped into a fully restored 1976 Chevrolet van and hit the road.
