A Bold Emerald Wedding Dress Took Center Stage at This Boo Cat Club Wedding in St. Louis, Missouri
Kathleen Perniciaro (30 and a construction project manager) set her sights on a green gown while planning her modern gallery wedding to Will Duggins (31 and a geologist). “Green is my color—it makes me happy, and I knew I could find something elegant that would help me stand out,” she says of rocking not one but two bold ball gowns on the day of their “I dos.” Welded metalwork and wildflowers helped Kathleen and Will pull off a “stylish house party” that incorporated their shared love for artwork, Led Zeppelin and Italian cookies. “We integrated readings from the Bible and lyrics from Led Zeppelin’s ‘Thank You’ as a way to bridge the gap between seemingly unrelated works of art,” Kathleen says. “It was our way of showing that love can come in different forms.” “We kept the décor simple in order to focus on the experience,” Kathleen says of exchanging vows amid the works at the Adam Aronson Fine Arts Center. Yellow craspedia added a pop of color to arrangements of dahlias, stephanotis and scabies.
