A Bold Purple and Orange Wedding at The Cable Center in Denver, Colorado
With a bold purple and orange color palette, Maddie Glantz (24 and a graduate student) and Tripper Atherton (26 and an educational assistant) had a bright, fun wedding. Tripper’s favorite color is orange, and Maddie’s favorite color is purple, so their color palette was an easy choice for the vibrant couple. Tripper even wore a white suit with an orange shirt, orange tie and orange Nike shoes! The couple asked all the guests to dress in the wedding colors, as well, so everyone matched the theme of the day. The cheeky purple and orange floral arrangements included some tropical flowers such as orchids since Tripper is originally from Hawaii, and helped tie the two wedding colors together. Wanting a little tradition with their day, Maddie and Tripper exchanged vows in a classic, religious ceremony at South Denver Seventh Day Adventist Church, which is where Maddie’s parents as well as her aunt and uncle got married (they loved that track record!). Afterwards, the couple served a bacon bar including bacon wrapped pork belly and chipotle chocolate drizzled bacon. “Tripper is mildly obsessed with everything bacon, so it had to be a star at the wedding,” Maddie says. They also had prickly pear margaritas with an orange sugar rims and a build your own mac ’n cheese station (which both matched the wedding colors!).
