A Bold, Spanish Style Wedding at Mansion on Main Street in Voorhees, New Jersey
Ailyn Rodriguez (28, assistant vice president) and Alex Garcia (31, pilot) met through a mutual friend and became friends instantly. Over time, a romantic relationship developed. Five years deep, Alex popped the question during a trip Cartagena, Colombia, at a seaside restaurant in a fort. Ailyn was speechless. Although the couple lives in Florida, they decided to get married in Philadelphia where their families live and where they grew up. Both their ceremony and reception took place at the Mansion on Main Street in Voorhees, New Jersey, near Philadelphia. The couple loved the outdoor space for the ceremony as well as the elegant decor in the ballroom. The theme of Ailyn and Alex's wedding was Spanish baroque, with regal golds and deep reds as their colors. Their wedding invitations and programs featured gold calligraphy and their wedding cake was white with gold lace trim and red roses. On her wedding day, Ailyn wore a strapless mermaid style wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline and beading. She paired her dress with a classic mantilla veil and crystal chandelier earrings to go with her Spanish look. She carried a vivid red bouquet of roses, lilies and hypercium berries and wore silver heels with rhinestone studded brooches at the toe. The bridesmaids wore floor length red satin dresses in different necklines while Alex and the groomsmen wore tan suits with red rose boutonnieres. The groomsmen wore red ties while Alex stood out in a white tie. Alex and Ailyn's son was the ring bearer and he looked adorable in a mini version of the same tan suits that the groomsmen wore. Alex and Ailyn's family wedding was bold and regal in deep reds and classic golds.
