A Bright, Casual Wedding at Greenhouse Loft in Chicago
Andrew (Drew) Freeman (31 and a nurse anesthetist) and Fernando (Sergio) Mojica (40 and an assistant principal) have a love for weekly “Sunday Funday” activities, which inspired them to plan a daytime wedding.
“We wanted a daytime party with celebratory music that would keep everyone dancing for hours on end,” Drew says. The fun-loving duo accomplished just that, thanks to a playlist that included classic dance hits from the likes of Whitney Houston and ABBA.
After their grandmothers walked them down the aisle, the newlyweds walked hand-in-hand back up the aisle as husband and husband. For their first dance, the two swayed to “I Choose You” by Sara Bareilles.
At the reception, guests sipped on Moscow Mules and indulged in chicken and waffles, empanadas and mac and cheese before taking home individually-wrapped Chicago-style hot dogs and sunglasses stamped with the couple’s custom monogram.
