A Bright Country Wedding at North Glade Inn in Swanton, Maryland

Alexandra Wright (27 and a project analyst) and Peter LaPaglia (27 and a sales manager) had a rustic barn wedding at North Glade Inn. They chose a color palette of green, purple and yellow to decorate their country-style celebration. Bridesmaids carried bouquets of sunflowers, purple zinnias and daisies with their kelly green bridesmaid dresses, and Alexandra carried a similar bouquet with her Jenny Yoo wedding dress. These bright flower arrangements lined the aisle and decorated the wedding arch at the waterside ceremony, and the barn was decorated with similar flowers for the reception. Everything about the wedding was country, from the cowboy boots that the bridal party wore to the string-light chandeliers that hung from wooden beams. Tables were covered in burlap table runners and decorated with tree rings. Even the candy bar had rustic flair, with the sweets displayed in glass jars with burlap bows on tree rings. Alexandra and Peter said they wanted their wedding to be casual and laid-back, and their wedding style reflected that. "Everything was low-key," Alexandra says. "We wanted to make the day about our family and friends, rather than about ourselves." Shandi Wallace Photography was there to capture the day.
