This Malibu blue and guava palette puts a bright spin on Allison Villarreal (25 and a call-center representative) and Josh Lewis’s (28 and a call-center representative) intimate wedding. “We wanted the colors to show that we are all about happiness,” Allison says. On their wedding day, it did just that. Allison and Josh lined the beach with hanging guava pomanders as DIY arrangements of white hydrangeas accented the ceremony space. Their 45 guests watched from rows of white folding chairs as Allison made her entrance in an eye-catching Oleg Cassini ball gown from David’s Bridal. Tiers of ruffled organza swept over the pure white sand as delicate lace appliques covered the bodice. After she and John exchanged vows, all went inside their rented beach house in Pensacola Beach, Florida, for a reception focused on fun and dancing. Each table was met with seashells and a tealight candle in a blue glass votive as matching blue runners topped its linens. Their dessert display even used the hue, as tiers of vanilla cupcakes were topped with blue and guava icing. A single-tier wedding cake covered in white fondant and topped with hydrangeas was placed above the display. The best part of the party was when everyone got on the deck and danced till the middle of the night,” Allison says. “We will never forget the happiness on everyone’s faces and the way we felt.” Hcophotos captured every moment of the day, below.

“We wanted the colors to show that we are all about happiness,” Allison says. Each of her bridesmaids added to the bright decor with a fun dress that did just that. They wore guava or Malibu blue knee-length chiffon dresses with a slight slit along the halter neckline. For a personal touch, the women wore different hairstyles and each carried a white hydrangea bouquet arranged by Allison.
Allison and John's flower girl added a sweet touch to their bright palette with her look. She wore a classic white dress with a guava rosette sash along her waist, as well as a trim of guava petals on the skirt. But that wasn't all. Her basket added a whimsical twist with colored pomanders around the rim.
“I had always wanted a wedding at the beach, but thought it was just that: a dream,” Allison says. On their wedding day, her dream became a reality. Allison and John highlighted the waterfront setting with simple hanging guava pomanders along the aisle. A sweet pair of white hydrangea arrangements was placed by the front on twin pillars.
Allison and John brought the beach into their reception with a few simple details. Each table was met with a series of seashells and a Malibu blue runner as a tealight candle in a matching blue votive accented the center.
Allison and John's sweetheart table stood out with a few personalized details. In addition to the black-and-white "Mr." and "Mrs." signs, Allison arranged small accents of white hydrangeas with flowers from Sam's Club. Each was placed in a netted vase to bring out their beach theme or accented with fun beads in their wedding color.
Now this is a fun dessert display! Allison and John brought out their guava and Malibu blue wedding colors with swirl icing atop tiers of cupcakes for their guests. For a more understated touch, they also topped the display with a single-tier cake.
Allison handmade all the arrangements for their outdoor wedding with wholesale blooms from a local Sam's Club. Their wedding cake took with this personalized detail with white hydrangeas, wisps of greenery and pink stock flowers as the topper.
Allison complemented her Oleg Cassini for David's Bridal ball gown with just the right touch. She paired its ruffle-covered skirt and lace-accented bodice with a sweet curled down hairstyle that was topped with a natural double braid instead of a headband.
