A Bright Spring Wedding at The Addison in Boca Raton, Florida

Terri Errico (28 and a physical therapist) and Matt Zeller (29 and in law enforcement) met at the gym and became engaged on a weekend getaway to Naples, Florida. The couple was on a golf trip with their Best Man and Maid of Honor when Matt surprised Terri with a private catamaran and got down on one knee at sunset . “It was an evening I’ll never forget!” says Terri. Inspired by their historic venue, The Addison, the couple spent the next year planning a yellow and gray spring wedding. “Since I wanted to have my wedding outside in a courtyard under the romantic Banyan trees, I used it as my inspiration,” says Terri. The Banyan trees and a rustic fountain served as the focal point for their ceremony. Lush arrangements of white hydrangea and yellow roses atop Victorian candelabras were set at the head and end of the aisle. After Terri and Matt said “I do” under a vine-wrapped yellow and white floral arch, their 130 guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with passed hors d’oeuvres and found their seats listed atop a vintage birdcage. White fabric was draped across the ballroom’s ceiling as each ivory linen-covered round table was met with silver chiavari chairs, custom “I Spy” games and a variety of white hydrangea and yellow rose centerpieces. All enjoyed dinner before they were treated to a five-tier wedding cake with raspberry sorbet in an edible chocolate cup. After a night on the dance floor, Terri and Matt left their guests with treats from a silver and yellow candy bar as well as custom engraved “live, laugh, love” key chains with the last word written in Italian or German to represent their cultural backgrounds. For future couples, Terri shares: "Planning a wedding can be very stressful and time consuming. Try to space it out as much as you can by making a timeline and, most importantly, have fun with it!"

In lieu of a traditional guest book, Terry took a note from their Banyan tree-lined venue and had a banyan tree on a poster for their guests. “The goal was to make the bare tree come to life with peoples thumb prints or 'leaves' and each could sign their name under each print,” says Terri.
The couple lined their ceremony aisle with four 7ft. Victorian candelabras topped with English ivy, white candles, white hydrangea, yellow roses and yellow stock flowers.
