A Casual, Colorful Wedding at Devil's Thumb Ranch in Tabernash, Colorado

Katie Gilbert (30 and works in sales) and Haydn Gilbert (30 and works in sales) met in high school, but were friends for about 13 years before they started dating. Haydn proposed at dinner while they were on vacation in Aspen. For their wedding, the couple decided to get married at Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Tabernash, Colorado, because they loved the shabby chic venue. Not wanting their wedding to feel too stuffy or formal, Katie and Haydn used a colorful color palette of pink, purple, green, orange, yellow and blue. They kept the attire casual, too, with orange J. Crew dresses for the bridesmaids and charcoal pants, white shirts and navy suspenders for the groomsmen. The best dressed was the bride, though, in her Monique Lhuillier lace and tulle A-line dress. Katie and Haydn worked with Swank Stems to create the colorful floral arrangements throughout the day and Devil’s Thumb for the green and orange linens for the reception. At the end of the night the couple enjoyed a three-tier ruffled white buttercream cake and guests sang “Lean on Me” in a circle on the dance floor.
