A Casual Wedding at Barrington Hill Farm in Dade City, Florida

Alexandra Copeland (22 and a manager at a boat dealership) and Kyle Kenyon (26 and a nurse) met through their church and started dating soon after they went to a Christian young adult conference. Kyle surprised Alex and popped the question nine months later at a park, spelling out the words “I love you” with flowers. In just four months they planned a simple navy-accented outdoor wedding in Dade City, Florida. “I didn’t really stick to a solid theme for our wedding,” says Alex. “Rather, I just picked things that I liked and knew they would all flow together.” The couple had a religious outdoor ceremony presided over by their pastor. Hanging arrangements of baby’s breath lined the aisle, and their 150 guests watched from rustic benches as Alex and Kyle exchanged vows. After the ceremony, all enjoyed an indoor reception complete with family-style tables decorated with low floral centerpieces, neutral runners and candlelight. The couple treated their guests to a barbecue buffet before serving a four-tier ivory confection composed of vanilla cake and topped with vanilla frosting. “My husband’s favorite,” says Alex. Their wedding, however, was not without its surprises. “Our wedding coordinator/planner surprised us with a fireworks display while we sneaked away,” says Alex. They left the reception surrounded by friends and family in a festive sparkler exit.
