A Ceremony in the Round Kicked off This Glam Wedding at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in California

Irene and Steven wedding at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California, was the epitome of modern chic. A ceremony in the round got the celebration started while a seated reception filled with white flowers rounded out the day's festivities. To complement the venue's minimal aesthetic, which is punctuated by glass and concrete architecture, Irene and Steven wanted a wedding that had a "modern, elegant theme with a gray-and-white color palette." To further mirror the glass-filled look of the venue, the couple incorporated ample acrylic details throughout the wedding. From acrylic ghost chairs at their ceremony in the round to an acrylic shadowbox-inspired sweetheart table that was filled with roses. To soften the crisp, clean lines seem throughout much of the decor, the duo artfully layered in lush green-and-white florals. And as a unique twist, they opted for a ground arch at the altar instead of a traditional raised arch, then later repurposed the arch to surround the flower-filled acrylic sweetheart table during the glam reception at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California.

Beyond decor, fashion was especially important in bringing Irene and Steve's modern, glam vision for their California wedding to life. "We wanted a clean, classic, and modern look—much like our wedding venue," explains Irene. "Steve wore a custom-made black tux with Christian Louboutin oxfords for the subtle pop of color in the red soles. I wore a Monique Lhuillier silk gown paired with white Gianvito Rossi pumps. The dress was the very first dress I tried on, and I knew as soon as I tried it on that it was the one. I knew I wanted different looks for the ceremony and reception. The dress came with a detachable bow train which I wore during the ceremony. For the first half of our reception and our first dance, we removed the bow for a different look. For the second half of the reception, I wore a two-piece Toni Maticevski jumpsuit. It was so much fun coming down the stairs in the jumpsuit, as it was a big surprise to everyone. The only person who knew about the outfit change was my maid of honor!"
