A Charming, DIY Wedding at the Brookmere Winery in Belleville, Pennsylvania

Sarah Marshall (26, cabinet designer) and Chris Simons (29, supervisor) met at their college cafeteria. They hit it off during their first encounter, but Chris was dating someone else at the time. They kept bumping to each other, and Chris started reaching out to her more often after he had broken up with his girlfriend. They became friends and eventually began dating. A few years later, Chris proposed to Sarah to the tune of Lionel Richie’s “My Love” and with the skyline of Philadelphia as the backdrop. They held their wedding at the Brookemere Winery in Belleville, Pennsylvania since it was equidistant from their hometowns. Their wedding’s color palette was emerald, mint and gray with accents of ivory and blush, which came through in the flower arrangements. The bridesmaids wore flowy V-neck floor length dresses that looked ethereal at the mountaintop venue. The groomsmen looked dapper in gray suits with emerald green bow ties. Sarah wore a lace fit and flare wedding gown by Galina, which she bought from David’s Bridal. Nearly all of the reception decor was DIY, including the string lights and colorful paper fans which brightened the barn. Stained glass chandeliers hung from the exposed beams and chalkboard signs directed guests. The head table was indicated by the couple's monogram framed with sheer white curtains and a burlap banner. For their guest book, Sarah and Chris provided their guests with quilt squares to sign, which they sewed into a blanket. This lovely mountaintop winery wedding had tons of charming DIY decor and heartwarming personal touches.
