Olive branches, white blooms, antique mirrors and lots of candlelight gave Mira Rapp-Hooper (31 and works in national security) and Matthew Brest’s (31 and a hedge fund analyst) Jewish wedding a cozy, holiday feel.

Having both grown up in Manhattan, Mira and Matthew loved the idea of marrying at a venue in the neighborhood they call home. “The hotel was perfect for a December wedding, with its exposed brick, wood detailing and working fireplace,” Mira says of the NoHo hotel space.

To add a fun twist to the winter theme, the band performed Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” during Mira and Matt’s first dance. In lieu of a traditional cake, guests paired port wine with chocolate truffles for dessert. “We’re chocolate fiends, so it was fitting for us,” Mira says.
