A Chic, Summer Wedding at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House in Baltimore, Maryland

Liza Casey (28 and a second grade teacher) and Corey Gaber (31 and a sixth grade literacy teacher) chose décor that mirrored their venue’s materials: exposed brick, stone, wood and metal.

Warm hues like brown, green, yellow and light orange, along with wood farm tables and ambient café lights, gave the couple’s celebration a romantic, rustic feel. To keep the mood laid-back, the newlyweds and guests celebrated with a family-style dinner that included fried chicken, homemade biscuits with peach marmalade and pan-seared tilefish with ratatouille.

“We’re casual people, so we wanted a place that had simple and natural beauty,” Liza says of their rustic venue.

The tablescapes fused moss runners with succulent plants and bud vases filled with blooms.

Liza and Corey sourced only local flowers from nearby farms with the help of their Baltimore-based florist. “We didn’t know what our flowers would look like until the day of,” Liza says. “This made it even more fun because it was a complete surprise!”

“I was nervous to be lifted in a chair, but it was so fun and definitely a memorable moment,” Liza says of the hora.
