A Chic White Wedding at Harborside East in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina
Who says a wedding has to be over-the-top to be absolutely stunning? Kinsey Query (29 and a physical therapist assistant) and Collins Atkinson (30 and a staffing manager for Robert Half) used a simple white and gray color palette for their ultra-chic, timeless wedding, which was brought to life with the help of Cory Lambert from Sage Innovations. We love Kinsey’s amazing Amsale ball gown with the textured rosette skirt and ruching on the bodice. The wedding dress inspired many of the day's details, including the ornate four-tier wedding cake (from Wedding Cakes by Jim Smeal) that had alternating layers of roses and geometric lines. Wanting a venue that matched their elegant style, Kinsey and Collins chose Harborside East in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, for the reception because of its swoon-worthy views over the Charleston Harbor. The couple utilized all the space, including outdoor tables overlooking the harbor, outdoor tables that were covered by the building and, of course, classic reception seating inside. Each section was adorned with white and gray linens and different lush floral arrangements from Palmetto Petals—everything from towering green and white florals to white lanterns surrounded by hydrangeas—which added a little garden romance to the site. One of the best parts, though, was the personalized Cigar Row cigar bar, which guests could smoke on the gray and white lounge furniture (complete with monogrammed pillows).
