A Classic and Romantic Wedding at Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, New Jersey

Sweet romance with subtle fairy-tale stylistic details ran throughout Erin Miller (28 and a middle-school teacher and freelance writer) and Christopher Celletti's (28 and an associate editor) fall wedding. The couple met in eighth grade and maintained a close friendship all through high school before finally making it official sophomore year of college. They chose their venue in order to keep the entire celebration on the same site, "We have a large family that love to party, so the concept of having everyone under one roof for the entire weekend was so exciting to us," Erin says. Through warm wine and gold hues, the ballroom of Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, was transformed into an elegant ceremony and a gilded reception with romantic touches of purple. "I’ve grown up loving fairy tales, but I didn’t want our wedding to scream that, or to be too fluffy, so we opted for what we called 'MidFall Night's Dream,' ” Erin says. Twinkling string lights, mercury glass and gold vases accented the room, which was flooded with warm light, adding a golden hue to the ivory reception tablecloths paired with lustrous gold dinnerware. "We wanted our reception to look and feel like one huge party but be beautiful too," she says. "We had candles everywhere and mercury-glass votives in silver and gold." Erin's dress ended up being the first one she tried on, despite her original hesitations about the off-white, ivory color. "I tried on many others, but I kept going back to it," she says. As for her accessories, Erin even kept on her lace veil for her first few dances because she loved it so much. As for the groom, Chris donned a custom Indochino suit and socks decorated with Henrik Lundqvist's photo, in honor of his love for the New York Rangers. —Allie Volpe
