A Classic Autumn Wedding at the Sonesta Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts
Annie and Brian met on J Date, a Jewish dating site. "Given we live in North Carolina, it was pretty slim pickings! But we found each other," Annie says. "The kind of amazing part is that each were only signed up for a one-month subscription." They got engaged in Cape Cod on a vacation with Annie's side of the family after they'd been together for three years. Brian wanted to propose in Cape Cod because Annie's whole family would be there, and he knew it would be meaningful. The couple chose an autumn themed wedding because they both love autumn, and wanted an affair that would reflect the feel of early September in New England. They chose to have their ceremony and reception at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Boston, where Annie grew up. Their wedding color palette was rich and earthy: lots of purples, reds, oranges and greens. Annie wore golden yellow flowers in her hair, which tied into the colorful centerpieces and floral decor. The wedding party was asked to choose eggplant or plum colored dresses in whatever style or designer they liked for a laid back, mismatched style. "You would never know that we didn't coordinate or that many of the bridesmaids had found their dresses only a few days before!" Annie says. The most important aspect of this laid back wedding to the bride and groom was pulling off a fun, relaxed atmosphere. "From the very beginning, we wanted to plan a party that was just a blast, and most of our decisions stemmed from that place," Annie says.
