A Classic Blush and Ivory Wedding at Belmont Country Club in Leesburg, Virginia

Inspired by peony season during their summer nuptials, Lindsey Stanton (24 and a registered nurse) and Andrew Stanton (23 and a civil engineer) wanted their wedding to be classic and timeless in every way. They chose a neutral blush, ivory and taupe color palette and added glamorous pops of gold throughout the details. It was a definite bonus that their gorgeous venue perfectly matched their theme. They chose Belmont Country Club in Leesburg, Virginia, for its historical beauty and because Andrew’s aunt and uncle lived nearby (perfect for getting ready). “Once we found Belmont, it was easy to finalize the colors and style,” Lindsey says. “We knew we wanted a classic, romantic and timeless look. Lace, peonies and pale pink were the perfect choice.” Growing Wild Floral Company created all the gorgeous floral arrangements that added a little romance and a garden aura to the otherwise classic wedding. One of our favorite details was the simply elegant three-tier white buttercream cake by Blissified. See all our favorite details, beautifully captured by Kelly Ewell Photography, below. A tip from the bride: “The best advice someone gave me is, ‘No one knows what you thought it was supposed to look like except you.’ This was so helpful for me because there were a couple of tiny details that did not go as planned. No one ever noticed or cared, because I was the only one who noticed. Moral of the story is: Do not sweat the small stuff. Your day will be perfect.”
