A Classic Blush Wedding at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa

Courtney Nevenhoven (23 and an ICU nurse) and Michael Hartberg (24 and a certified investments administrative assistant) wanted a classic and elegant spring wedding. They got married at Bridge Church in Johnston, Iowa, a modern-style church that Courtney grew up attending. The reception followed at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa. "We chose Glen Oaks because its classic and majestic clubhouse fit our wedding vision," Courtney says. "With sweeping windows and balconies with a view of the beautiful golf course and neighborhood surrounding it, it worked great for us." For the spring event, Courtney and Michael chose a soft and romantic palette of blush, ivory, gold and champagne. At the reception, the long head table was covered in a bold, gold table runner, and the seats arranged around it were decorated with gold sashes. Centerpieces were made up of alternating tall and low flower arrangements of ivory hydrangeas and blush roses. Around the centerpieces, tall crystal-embellished votive candleholders added some sparkle to the tablescape. Courtney's bridesmaids wore floor-length, mocha champagne dresses so that they paired beautifully with the decor without matching it. Courtney wore a stunning mermaid-style James Clifford dress. Courtney and Michael ended the night with dancing to music provided by ASE DJ and a pink champagne buttercream wedding cake. Cavan Photography captured all the pretty details from the day.
