A Classic Burgundy Wedding at Studio Dan Meiners in Kansas City, Missouri
Liza Youngwirth (31 and a commercial loan officer) and Nate Kemna (32 and a liquor sales rep) met while working together at the Topsider at the Lake of the Ozarks. After being friends for four years, they decided to officially date, and three years after that, Nate proposed. For their wedding, they had a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Ann Catholic Church before heading to Studio Dan Meiners for the party-like reception. They used burgundy as their main color and accented it with shades of pink, gray, black and white. Wanting to show some love to their alma mater, University of Missouri, Liza wore a Mizzou garter, the couple played the Mizzou fight song at the beginning of the reception and guests could watch Mizzou play Georgia on TV in a private room. At the end of the night, the couple enjoyed a two-tier ruffled buttercream cake from Chef Shop and danced to music by local artist Patrick Lentz.
