A Classic, Colorful Wedding at The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel in Asbury Park, New Jersey

Hilary Strauch and Jonathon LaCarrubba planned a classic celebration with plenty of fun touches. The Catholic ceremony took place at Hilary's childhood church in Avon by the Sea.  The groom and groomsmen wore black tuxedos and silk bow ties, while the bridesmaids stood out in black-and white polka-dot skirts with brightly colored shoes. Hilary stunned in a silk A-line dress with a lace overlay, which extended into a higher neckline with capped sleeves. She also wore a wore a floor-length veil trimmed in lace for the ceremony and group pictures. Her pink bouquet, which included heritage roses and anemones, popped against her gown. After the traditional vows, guests attended a reception at The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel. "The rooms at the Berkeley are beautiful on their own, so there was little additional decoration necessary," Hilary says. Even so, centerpieces with pink flowers, framed table numbers and candles dressed up the round reception tables. "We both love the Yankees, so we had the cake designer pipe the outline of the Yankee Stadium fence on the top layer of the cake," Hilary says. "As a send-off, and a nod to the city where we got engaged, we had a New York City hot dog and pretzel cart."
Our favorite #MakeTradition moment: Guests tossed multicolored rose petals in monogrammed paper cones as the newlyweds recessed up the aisle.
