A Classic, Elegant Wedding at Cavallo Point in San Francisco, California
Lauren Zimmer and David Noel’s fall wedding at Cavallo Point in San Francisco exuded West Coast elegance with sweeping bay views and a muted color palette punctuated with natural touches. “We wanted our wedding to be in the city so it was easily accessible for our guests coming all the way from Texas, Kansas City and New York, but also to incorporate nature as much as possible. Cavallo Point over Fleet Week offered the perfect balance,” Lauren says. “Guests could stay on-site and never have to worry about getting transportation for the weekend events. It was all right there. We think that fosters a more relaxed vibe and provides for more interaction and camaraderie among all the guests.” The couple hosted the ceremony in the venue’s historic chapel, then joined their guests outdoors on the lawn for dinner and drinks overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. A mix of square and round tables brought an element of visual drama to the space, while soft gray linens and classic round-back chairs infused the décor with a sophisticated feel. A live painter captured the setting during cocktail hour, offering the newlyweds a unique way to remember the occasion. The painting, along with monogrammed lounge pillows and linens, allowed the couple to put their own personal mark on the evening. After dinner, David and his mother took to the dance floor where they surprised guests with a choreographed to a remix of upbeat tunes. “Make your guests comfortable and make it fun for everyone,” Lauren says. “At the end of the day, you want to look back and remember having the best time. You won’t remember the chargers or escort cards, but you will remember the people who were there and the way you felt.”
