A Classic Fall-Themed Wedding at Life Arts Center in Riverside, California

Pumpkins, hay and leaves galore! Seasonal elements were brought in from the outdoors at this fall-inspired wedding, decked out in an autumn color palette of red and ivory with accents of orange. Candice Alvarado (26 and an engineering planner) and Alejandro Alvarado (26 and an account sales representative) held their traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Catherine of Alexandria in Riverside, California, captured on camera by Summer Shea Photography. Candice wore a stunning ivory wedding dress with an elegant lace trim and off the shoulder sleeves, accented with a crystal belt around the waist. The bright red bridal bouquet made of roses matched the strapless, floor-length bridesmaid dresses, embodying a large part of the color palette. The reception that followed was held at the Life Arts Center banquet hall, where Hangar 24 orange wheat and Oktoberfest brews were served, so guests could enjoy the great beers of the season. White escort cards were placed inside a wooden box filled with hay, which was marked by a small, white pumpkin with a leaf that read “Choose a seat.” Our mouths were watering over the s’mores favors given to each guest, with graham crackers, chocolate and a marshmallow stacked on top of one another, with a thank-you tag attached to the bag. Candice and Alejandro wanted to send guests home with something sweet to remember the day by, especially because of how much their loved ones meant to the couple. ”Alejandro and I put both of our parents and grandparents wedding photos in frames around our guest book, along with some of our engagement photos,” Candice says. I particularly loved doing this— both because it honored our family, whom we love, and because it represented the importance of family in our relationship and in our lives.”
