Even after meeting at church in 2010, it took three years and a snowboarding trip for sparks to fly between Courtney (28 and a teacher) and Tommy (28 and a mechanical engineer). After getting engaged on the slopes in Duluth in 2014, the two began planning their big day in the exact spot where it all started -- the Grace Church. But when it came to choosing a reception venue, Tommy and Courtney needed a little bit of help. "Finding the perfect venue was actually quite a pain!" Courtney says. "In the end, my father actually found the perfect spot -- The Minnetonka Country Club in Shorewood. It was big enough, cozy, beautiful and had sprawling green lawns and large windows so we could soak in the fall colors." The couple incorporated shades of red and purple throughout their reception -- including purple satin shoes for Courtney and bold red ties for Tommy and his groomsmen. Once the couple said "I do", they celebrated with 200 friends and family members in a night filled with dancing, toasts and one memorable bouquet toss: "Tommy's sister caught the bouquet and a week later she was engaged!" Courtney laughs. "We felt so loved and appreciated by everyone who came. We're so blessed to have everyone we loved in one room supporting us in celebration. What a perfect day!"

Courtney altered her mother's veil for her "something old" and pinned it up underneath her updo. For her "something borrowed," a good friend loaned her a jeweled comb.
A coworker graciously agreed to do the flowers for the wedding, including a mix of purple calla lilies, red roses and fiddlehead.
Courtney found her dream dress by Enzoani at Posh Bridal Couture in Wayzata.

Each bridesmaid wore a knee-length, purple, After Six dress from the Dessy Group.
The groomsmen wore dark charcoal-colored suits and bright red ties for a pop of color.
"My favorite color is purple and Tommy's is red," Courtney explains. "With a fall wedding, we were easily able to find shades of our favorite hues that would work well together."

The couple tied the knot at Grace Church, where they met in 2010.
The Cakewalk bakery in Northfield made this black and white three-tier creation topped with purple calla lilies.
The couple incorporated their love of wine into the wedding by creating DIY centerpieces and escort card holders from recycled bottles and corks.
"The Minnetonka Country Club turned out to be exactly what we were looking for," Courtney says. "It was big enough, cozy, beautiful and had sprawling green lawns with large windows so we could soak in the fall colors."
